The Fear...

as I get ready to put on my new dress and go and watch Neerja, I have this fear. biggest fear, if leading lady going to do full justice to Neerja Bhanot.

such a huge responsibility has been given to Sonam, I hope she lives up. I am glad she has taken this responsibility. some may also say, oh she is brave. but only bravery wont work, you gotta earn it.

same fear I have for Sabarjit with Ashwarirya Rai Bachchan.

there are so many great actors producers and directors can choose from, but it saddens me to see such huge roles, responsibilities are given to most famous ones.
imagine you are given a role of a lifetime,, don't you dare let the paying jantas down PLEASE. DELIVER!

oh well...i hope Sonam turns me into fearless fan of hers.

which also makes me think...do they select these famous stars for the look or resemblance?
how about get a not so famous, but a GOOD ACTOR, totally change their appearance, make them a complete Neerja. For some reason, this darr i am feeling right now, won't be there when i head to the nearest theater.

Sonam does not look like Neerja

Doubt she was chosen for resemblance.

Not everyone who is a good actor is bold enough to take risks or is in a position to take a risk. Take Parineeti for example. A solid actress who could have done a lot but wont move beyond chota mota YRF films. Atleast Sonam is in a position to take a risk with her dad bankrolling projects for her. Like wise for Aishwarya. Atleast she tries. Better be her than a Kareena who is ready with another phata dhol in Ki&Ka when she could have gone beyond with Section 84. Who knows this time they might have got it right? Like Sonam got it right with Ranjhana and Aish in JA. They pushing the limits opens avenues for others too. I am glad both are also bringing out stories of ordinary women like Neerja and Sarabjit. Better this with bad acting rather than glorify criminals like Sanjay Dutt with good acting.

We can give her a chance. She isnt that bad. Atleast she is better than the so called "Queen".
