This song was sung by Vishwanath in the preliminary round. He sang it extremely well -- with a very Rafi like voice. I recall Himesh said after listening this song that "us jamane ke sabhi musicians ko mera salaam." Lalit also liked it very much. Ismail also liked this song very much but said his very Rafi like was not suitable for songs of today. Mentors finally gave 4 thumps-up to Vishwanath and he moved to the next round
