The thing about films, which makes it very difficult for people to leave, is that you can never tell. A lot of people succeed who are not extraordinary actors, a lot of films succeed that are not brilliant. The industry is full of people who were average or just plain terrible in their initial films and then went on to improve and become really good at their craft. That is why any person (and not just Athiya) who is not great can think "if XYZ could do it, why not me?" Tomorrow if a couple of her films work, the same people would be telling her to continue in films, and some producer or other would be willing to cast her. It takes sustained failure for people to say "ok, I'm not giving this any more shots".

That's true. I remember dp was advice to quit bollywood before cocktail released. They advice her to do take on badimton sports seriously instead but look she made it😊 I have not seen athiya's first film so I can't really comment on her acting

I think it'll be a wise move on Athiyas part if she goes into modelling or any other profession because although she has the height and the backing of her family..Unfortunately there is nothing to work with because she does not look conventional. Her face is too angular for a bollywood heroine and also she lacks the X factor which h her contemporaries like Kriti and Alia possess hence why they are offered films every other day.

Being a star kid she gave a really arrogant vibe during promotions like Ms know it all almost as if she's very sure and confident of herself. Being confident is one thing and cocky is another which I feel Athiya was/is. There is a certain humbleness or modesty you need to make it big in the industry anyone who is not gets ousted pretty quickly I.e Vivek Oberoi who was pretty arrogant in his initial days which Rani even mentioned at the time. She needs to think things through rather than hanging out with her parents every other day!

I dont understand why people are feeling sorry for her. Its not like she had to struggle for years to get her break. She did a movie, which didn't work and her acting was highly criticised.

If you see her interviews she said that not ever movie is gonna work but she is happy with the feedback the movie got. She then further said critics praised her performance and she will get better with time. The thing is nobody praised her or the movie. Only suraj received some praises. She is like Sonam kapoor. Far from reality.

She sounds really arrogant and stuck up in this interview. To be actress you need to act then why isn't she signing any new films. She looks like the cat that got the cream probably thinking she'll have the world falling at her feet with her connections. Lol

True.. In fact I see her using modelling and fashion as a tool like sonam.. And continuing to pursue films. She won't back off so fast
