Didn't see any threads related to this, so thought I'd share - really enjoyed Ranveer's speech for winning Best Actor. His dedicating the award to his parents was especially heartfelt, and it was quite emotional when he thanked them for supporting him in spite of knowing how tough the industry is to outsiders and when 'the chips were down'. Also appreciated that he touched his parents, Deepikas parents and Amitabh Bachchans feet 😊. Not a regular poster (more of a silent reader), but felt his emotions seemed very genuine

Ranveer's speech was really emotional.I loved his & deepika's speech.Both thanked their parents & it looked genuine.

I agree. It am usually quite cynical about acceptance speeches, but this seemed very real. He choked up. He is a good actor, but I doubt he is good enough to fake that show of emotion which seemed so very real. It seemed to be a genuine, moving speech.

Ranveers speech had me in tears. It was so genuine and heartfelt. He made his place in my heart after SRK and Sallu. I became his true fan today.

I always heard him speak very high about his father in his interviews and this is the first time I saw him. He was so proud of his son, in fact his whole family was. And Ranveer's speech was so heartfelt. I was very happy for Baba <3

I am a very cynical person too but I loves his speech. It was so genuine so emotional & you can SEE how much he put into his success & how he doesn't take anyone for granted because of it... In Bw the reverse is true so I pray he always is the same lovely, very sensitive & extremely emotional person that he is. There's something very genuine & real about him & something beautiful in watching people achieve their dreams. <3

Add to that DP's tears man...she looked so happy because he was so happy😆
