Bollywood films are all about escaping from reality. The films are made for the masses who don't want to see their lives on screen, what would be interesting about that? they want to watch a film that takes them away from their problems and be entertained


Love is an import aspect of indian cinema, whether its between a boy and girl, or a parent or child, it's part of our culture and society...indians are warm, emotional people. On the other hand love is also a fantasy which ties in with escaping from the real world.

Plus india is the land that gave the world the karma sutra! and relationships are important to indians

Whether you like or not, NOTHING is wrong with India. 😊

The fact remains that romantic movies work in India. The day films with romance and songs start bombing at box-office, directors will take their cue and make different movies. But alas! Romantic movies have worked and they still do…😳

The recent Jab We Met was a romantic comedy and it worked. If masses are really tired of love stuff, the movies would not work, but that is not the case.

One thing I don't get is – If people are sick and tired of love themes in Bollywood, why do you watch it 🤔????? If you are satisfied with un-romantic movies, then so be it… just watch those movies. Crores of India line up to watch romantic movies on Fridays and they are quite excited about the songs and all, so don't judge entire India's opinions and choices by saying that something is wrong with India, because nothing is. 😃

And if we were to make documentaries, and meaningful real cinema, what different would we be from Hollywood? 😛😉

thats where i come in. acutally i want indian films to be different not just LS. which is BS sometimes... cause i too want to see indian films but diferent theme than LS every friday.
