Chap 24

Just Another Day In Office

The early morning sun woke up Nandini disturbing her sleep. She lazily opened her eyes and found herself on Manik and he was looking at her with a sweet smile. "Good morning Manik." She said lazily. "Good morning beautiful." Manik kissed her forehead. Nandini was about to get up to start the day when a sudden pull dazed her senses and she found herself beneath Manik. "Where do you think you are going?" he asked blowing air on her face turning her on in the process. "Ma.. Mani.. Manik.. who.." Nandini was already breathing heavily and was unable to complete her sentence. "Manik woh kya?" he asked huskily as he lifted her tee shirt and kissed her naval.

"Manikkk please!" Nandini moaned loudly as she fiddled with his hair while he was busy licking and sucking her waist and naval. Finally unable to control the urge she pulled him up and crashed her lips with his. She was dominating him kissing him ferociously as she dug her nails on his bare back making blood ooze out of it. She entered his mouth and kissed every corner of it as Manik tore off her clothes and covered themselves with the duvet. Nandini was finding hard to breathe but was not willing to let go off him; Manik broke the kiss and buried his face in her cleavage kissing, biting and sucking every inch of her skin. She moaned and moaned harder as Manik's sweet tortures on her body increased setting it on fire. She arched her upper body in throes of pleasure as Manik entwined their hands and pinned it on the bed. Finally after couple of hours of rolling over each other, kissing, biting and scratching Manik occupied her and once again completing them both.

It was 9 am and the Saxena house was all doomed. A weird gloom had descended and it seemed the nature also felt the uneasiness in the air; a bright day had turned all cloudy and winds were rough as if trying to warn of an impending danger. Harshad's father was sitting near his father's lifeless body void of any emotion so was his brother who was not a werewolf. Harshad walked slowly to his grandfather's body and sat near his dad. "Dad!" he tried speaking but only to be stopped by his father "enough Harshad look where your recklessness got us all. So don't you even dare to justify yourself."

As Harshad's family was one of the prominent families of Dharamshala there was quite a crowd that had descended for his last rites; but was significant was the presence of werewolves as he was considered one of the senior members of the pack. Soon Singhania family accompanied by Nandini made their way to the Saxena house; Harshad runs and hugs Mukti but she doesn't respond. "Mukti I am really sorry please try and understand." Harshad pleaded. "Harshad if you really want to apologize then it should be Nandini not me." Mukti said and walked away leaving Harshad and Nandini alone.

Harshad hung his head low and feebly mumbled "sorry." Nandini smiled and said "You have quite guts to say sorry and expect I will forgive you. You used me as bait in your rivalry to Manik; we were friends Harshad childhood friends we grew up together. How could you forget that? And Alya she is vampire now stuck in life of eternity because of you; you know what you killed your grandpa not Manik. Yes Harshad you are the one responsible for their death.." by now Harshad's anger crossed all limits.

He was about to grab Nandini and shout on her when Manik held his hand and pushed him away. Manik stood in front of Nandini and said "don't even think of harming her even in your wildest dreams wolf boy or else next funeral will be your's." "and you are still same arrogant vampire." An unknown voice caught Nandini's attention and soon she found anger and aggression replacing the smirk on Manik's face. The voice came and stood in front of Harshad and soon the whole pack of werewolves were standing behind him. Nandini was scared.

"Aryaman Khurana, the famous Alpha. How are you?" Manik asked with a smirk; he tilted his head a little and continued "so power display nice." Manik clasped his hands and soon there was a surge of huge crowd led by Vikrant and they were the army of vampire. "have a look better than yours right?" Manik mocked. "your arrogance will sink you Manik. Get ready for the end you should not have killed him" Aryaman said coldly. "And he should not have tried to harm my coven, my family or Nandini. I will rip apart every single heart of the wolves. The war is on." Manik said as he looked straight into Aryaman's eyes.

Singhania family was looking all this with great shock. "this is not at all good. It will be an open season of dead bodies and we all will be the collateral damage in the world of powers." She sighed. "I should have seen this coming." "But maa why are we concerned?" Vandana asked. "because we are bound to be loyal to the vampires so we have to fight with them and for them." She said with a gloomy voice.

Nandini was scared with the tension that was building up in the air. Neither Manik nor Aryaman were ready to back off. When the two abominations of nature come to the fore and collide it's a catastrophe and that's where the elder Saxena's funeral was headed. She clutched Manik's shirt tightly and hid herself completely behind him as tears made their way out. Manik sensed this and decided to back off for the moment but not without warning "let's just take a break here innocent human will be dead and we will be exposed but this is not over." Manik said as he walked with Nandini and his coven to pay his respect to dead man.

Manik suddenly stopped and turned; he took a silver knife from his pocket and threw it on Aryaman saying "hey dude." Aryaman had quick reflexes and he caught the knife immediately only to get his hands burned by the silver. "aahhh!" he screamed and Manik smiled and winked saying "game on."

It was late evening, the sun had already set painting the sky in red and evening chills were making its way and people were forced to lock themselves up in the warm cozy surroundings. Nandini had just lit the fire in her bedroom fireplace and sat cozily with a hot chocolate in her hand. She took a deep breath and looked around. There was a silence in the house, she was never alone all her life; after their parents died Alya was her whole world but now life took some weird turn and she is left alone. Alya is still there but yet not there. "I guess I should get used to this silence." She sighed when she felt him embracing her from behind and hiding herself in her. "Who said that I am here to vanish those silences." Manik kissed her hair and said. "Ok now let's go you wanted to meet Alya right?" Manik said and Nandini bobbed her head excitedly.

Alya was standing near the window looking into the darkness trying to find some answers but all she could see was just darkness. "Nandini!" she said without turning back and Nandini who was standing near the door made a grumpy face. "I wanted to surprise you." She said; Alya turned and laughed "I heard you when you entered the mansion and your smell cleared everything. Profits of being a vampire you see." She opened her arms and Nandini happily hopped into her arms like a kid jumps in his mother's arms.

Alya was sitting on the bed and Nandini was lying with her head in her lap. Alya was caressing her hair wen Nandini held her hand and said "nervous?" "Hmm a little bit." Alya said "you know when we were kids mom used to tell us the stories of vampires, you always believed those but I never paid any heed but look at me now I am one of them." She sighed. "Alya everything will be fine." Nandini tried to assure her. "Nandini I am stuck here for eternity somewhere between not being dead nor being alive. But hey I will be 19 forever." She said and both sisters laughed. Manik who was standing near the window whole time as he didn't wanted to leave Nandini alone said "Alya from tomorrow we will start your training so that you can control your powers. I saw today you had to take so many blood bags to stop yourself from feeding on humans. You need to get that lust under control." Alya nodded.

Just as they were chatting Neyonika and Vikrant walked in. "we need to get the moonstone asap." Vikrant announced. "yeah I know with Aryaman in town and." Before Manik could say anything further Neyonika cut him in between "it has nothing to do with Aryaman in town. Manik Nandini is in danger and he will be coming for her soon when he knows about her." Manik was confused "who will be coming for her?" "Abhimanyu." Neyonika announced leaving Manik baffled.
