Update for Friday
Ep 285

1) recap from the previous ep, aathi comes out with her lawyer being bailed out and she praises nithi for getting her out with her wittiness. nithi tells her she remembers what aathi had told her about using poison to deal with poison (this phrase is my own example). jeeva, aathi & nithi exchange glances and aathi takes a seat in the car. nithi walks over and jeeva asks if she will keep her word and nithi tells her to look behind (and she leaves thereafter). baba comes by and stops there in an auto and jeeva is relieved to see him safe and sound. prabha tells her he has another court case and that he will meet them later on and leaves in his bike. jeeva & baba too leave for home.

2) lali waiting at jeeva's home, is happy to see baba and calls him "appa". baba tells the both of them that he can sense their worriness but its all uncalled for as nithi took good care of him while he was in her custody as jeeva would and gave him the medicines and food on time. lali says that is surprising as nithi scolded her when she passed her baba's medicine to give to him. lali tells jeeva not to trust her too soon just cause she is her sister and let her guard down. baba tells them to leave the topic alone as he is back safe and sound and lali informs him that jeeva had not touched water or food since his kidnap and baba starts to get emotional. he says he feels bad that during his kidnap, he ate well without a worry and feels guilty about it. jeeva says she has eaten well all along and just this morning that she didn't eat. baba quickly gets the maid to lay the food and starts to feed jeeva and lali feels happy to see the tight bond between them. meanwhile at the other end, sundara is waiting at home and aathi returns home and asks sundara is he is surprised to see her home that soon. sundara scolds aathi saying she has poisoned nithi and she is becoming another aathi. aathi tells him that he is talking nonsense and that nithi is becoming a successful businesswoman as she groomed her. sundara tells nithi that he had wanted to tell her that day she hit thamira to stop all these violence. nithi says she did it for aathi and sundara says since aathi is back home, she should put a stop to it. aathi cuts in and tells sundara that nithi must be tired and says she needs rest and leaves. with sundara and nithi left, he tells her to think whether what she had been doing is right or wrong and also leaves from there.

3) (hated scene) selva visits magi and she tells him that she has been waiting for him and has prepared north indian food for him and asks him to eat. seeing his sullen face, she thought so he wouldn't have appetite for it and drags him upstairs. she tells some stupid dream she had (i don't wish to mention, sorry to say) and lies on his chest and then touches his face. she asks him if "that" was not enough and if he wants more. selva tells her no need for it and asks her doesn't she know how he feels. she tells some grandmother story again about something selva was missing all along since she met him in mumbai and that it was happiness. she realised it after he told her his story with nithi and also about not consummating their marriage. she says now selva is happier (crap, can't she see he is always feeling sad, hanging his head, then how the heck will he be happier now!) and talks even more grandmother story and ask him to "take her" (cheap woman). selva keeps rejecting her advances and finally tells her he is unhappy due to some other reason and the reason is that, that day she visited him outside his home, nithi had seen her (i thought nithi did not manage to see so im not sure if selva is lying for some reason) (see below face for magi's reaction). THODARUM....

Update for Monday
Ep 286

1) recap from the previous ep, selva tells magi that nithi had seen her when she came to his house that day. he says he doesn't know if she had really known it was magi or not. magi quickly tells selva that he had been in her house for barely 5 mins and he can't stop thinking about his wife (she mentions about the time he spent with her at work and at home). she says he devotes 98% to nithi but just 2% to her. selva tries to tell her that he was just alerting her but magi cuts him and starts to cry (i cringe at it!!!!!!!!!!!) and asks him not to talk about her (nithi) and just wants to talk to him and see him only till she dies. selva pacifies her like he would a baby (yucks!) and she takes the chance to lean on his chest. she finally stops her crocodile tears and asks for a kiss from him pointing to her cheek and they play around after that. (selva, i really wonder how you manage to do that, i feel so gross even to see or type about it!)

2) nithi at home browsing thru' a magazine while waiting for selva and sundara comes by just to ask that. he tells nithi that selva had been coming home late every night and nithi tells him that his friend is sick thats why. sundara tries to tell her that nithi is the main reason why selva has been coming home late. she needs to find out the reason why he is behaving this way. he goes on to say that if her mum or sister had been with her, she would have been advised but to put that aside, nithi is a smart girl as she has turned the company around in such a short time thus she should definitely put aside time to talk to selva when he comes home. sundara leaves and selva comes home and nithi tells him to change and eat. selva tells her he has eaten but nithi says she has not eaten and has been waiting to eat with him. selva asks her if she was waiting for him or to find out who was the lady he sent off in an auto that day (this is what i call buying trouble). nithi then takes the chance to ask him since he has brought it up, she says she had forgotton about it the day itself but since he has mentioned it and he was so evasive about it that time, she asked him back the question. selva asks her if she don't trusts him and nithi says nothing like that. he had been so cool and calm previously but now he just flares up at her for some small problem. selva just walks off without explaining and goes up to his room.

3) aathi is sleeping and her conscience (another aathi) comes to speak to her. she asks who is it and switch on the light. her conscience tells her to sleep peacefully after 2 days in jail and forget everything (sarcastically). aathi tells her conscience that she has nithi to help her. her conscience tells her nithi and jeeva are same blood thats why she did not do anything to baba when he was in her custody. all aathi could do was to only hide from them in her many bungalows and resorts. aathi says she knows what to do and another conscience appears (now got 3 aathis). aathi tells the other 2 aathi's that she will put jeeva in jail for 2 yrs for making aathi go to jail for 2 days. the other 2 aathis tells her to do that first and disappears. the camera freezes on aathi's face. THODARUM...

Update for Tuesday
Ep 287

1) prabha and his police friend are discussing and the police friend suspects that aathi might be the one who could have killed ganga. prabha tells him that aathi used to boasts if she were the killer but this time she was quiet and her adiyal who was about to shoot him was also caught but he didn't managed to use his gun to kill ganga. he asks his friend what was the post mortem result and he says that ganga died due to poisoning. prabha's friend says that he had kept a close watch on ganga before the court trial and even gave him water from his own car. prabha speculates that since ganga died of poisoning and aathi is not the suspect then there is someone else in this picture who gets to benefit from ganga's death and they need to find this person soon. over at aathi's guest house, aathi waiting for surya and thomas is jealous of the way she treats surya and asks her to give him a chance to show his talents. aathi tells him that if not for surya or nithi, aathi would not be standing here. thomas tries to badmouth surya and aathi tells him to stop and to go out to see if he has come and surya comes in just in time. aathi tell thomas to go outside while she talks to surya. thomas gives a not happy look.

2) aathi gives 1 lax to surya in an envelope and asks him to buy ganja and make use of it to cause jeeva to be jailed. surya tells her he will buy the ganja and leave it in jeeva's house and will inform aathi and she will call the police and jeeva will be caught and have to spent time in jail. before surya leaves he asks aathi if she was the one who killed ganga, aathi scolds him and he leaves immediately. aathi also starts to wonder who could be ganga's killer.

3) at venky's mistress, vanaja's house, she tells her auto lover that she is the killer of ganga. she tells him that if all the wealth she is enjoying now belongs to venky and she was his mistress previously but he failed to keep his promise of bringing her overseas together with the sale money of the land. she then narrates the story to her auto lover on why and how she killed venky. flashback, on that fateful day, vanaja visits venky and asks him why is he avoiding her calls and that is he trying to escape with the money he managed to get from the sale of the land. she asks him then why did he promise her earlier to bring her overseas when he did not have the intention to do so. seems she had lived as his mistress for over 10 yrs and if he did not give her such a promise, she would have been bought over by aathi. she asks him if he intends to leave for overseas alone and he tells her thats exactly what he is going to do. he had settled his wife in another country and he can go to other countries and enjoy the money with a new mistress and tells her to find another guy to leech on once he leaves. he gives her some money for her faithfullness in being with him all these yrs but she rejects and tells him he will not be able to leave for overseas if he is not leaving with her. venky tells her to pick up whatever money he gives her and get lost. they struggle at this point and he slaps her and she falls down and he tells her that he can even commit a murder and leave and no one will know. vanaja picks up a bottle on the floor and from behind, she knocks it on venky's head and he falls down in pain clasping his head. vanaja then takes the briefcase with the money and leaves. back from the flashback, the auto lover tells vanaja that now he knows why she killed ganga as he will tell that thamira is innocent and the police might change their route of investigation and vanaja may get implicated. she says its best that ganga dies and she is safe with her wealth. in selva's home, selva is sleeping on the bed, nithi wakes him up and offers him coffee. selva quickly flashback what magi said about spending 98% of his time with nithi and one of it is she gives him coffee first thing in the morning. back from the flashback, he tells nithi to give the coffee to her mother-in-law to curry favour instead of him and returns the coffee back and gets up and walk off. camera freezes in nithi's sad face. THODARUM...

Episode 288 -Wednesday

Selva gets angry with Nithila and scremas at her to go and give cofee to her athai and be like her athai only. He leaves from there. He is dressed to go for work and is at the B fast table. Nithi serves the food. But Selva is thinking of Magi telling" Nithi can always have break fast with you" Nithila breaks his dream by dropping the spoon on the table purposely.

She tells him to eat but Selva stops eating and leaves from there. Nithi sits and starts having her food and asks Selva to wait for her to go to the office. By the time she comes down Selva starts the car and drives away.

Prabha and Jagan visit the doctor who gave Ganga's post mortem report. Doctor clarifies that the death has occured by a strong cyanide poison but not by taking thru the mouth by by making him inaling that. Prabha recollects about Ganga having cold and he was always rubbing his nose. He thanks the doctor and leaves that place with Jagan.

When he comes out he tells about his doubt and the possibility of Ganga sniffing from the Bagawath Geetha book when he took the oath in the court. They both decide to question that clerk and Prabha also calls Jeeva and tells the whole story. He asks her to meet them in that clrerks place.

In Selva's office Nithila is trying to explain about some office work to Selva. But Selva is in deep thoguth where Magi tells him" Selva Nithila can always spend her entire time in the office with you" Suddenly Nithila realises that he is not listening. So she calls his name loudly Selva gets the file and tells her that he will do it. Nithi leaves and Selva goes thru that file and calls someone and asks him to pass the file to Nithila.

He starts thinking again and he tries to get out but Nithila stops and asks where he is going. He tells that he is going to the godown. So Nithila requests him to get the "Trip Sheet" from the security. He stares at her and leaves.

Prabha and Jagan reach the court clerk's house and Jeeva also reaches there. Jagan rings the calling bell. When he came out Jagan starts hitting him and asks about that Bagawath's geetha and Ganga court hearing day. First he refuses that he does not know anything. But Jagan keeps beating him up and he screams" ayo...sir please stop I will tell everything"

He continues and tells that he got a phone call from a lady that day asking him to give the Bagawath Geetha book which she gives to me instead of the usual one. She said she will pay me after the court hearings. So he just did what she told and when everything is done he went to her car which is a white ambassador with the Kerala registration KL 02199. All he saw was her hand when she gave him the money.

Jagan warns him and tells that soon he will be arrested but if he turns to be an approver he will get the minimum punishemnt only. Now Jeeva rules out the dopubt about Aadhi and suggests Vanaja's name to suspect. Jagan says that he will soon trace the Car and from there they can proceed on.

Selva is sitting with Magi in the terrace in her house. She jokes with Selva," mmm....If you want I will give the trip Sheet to be given to Nithi...oookayaa?" Selva gets up and she starts running and they both play "oodi vilayaattu".....( ayo where is the suvar.....wall....damaal...damall....my head is muttifying pa) Suddenly Magi's phone rings and she without seeing the caller ID picks up and from the other end...that parattai thalaiyan says,"I never expected this Magila...???" She is shocked.....

Episode 289 - Friday

Magi & Selva's odi vilayaadal continues and Magi's cell rings. From the other end "parattai Thalaiyan" Sree Kumar asks," wow..I never expected you to take my call with this happy voice...ha?" Magi is shocked. Selva is staring at Magi with a puzzle on his face. She asks him what he wants and he answers that he wants nothing but Magila herself. And the telephone conversation continues for some times with muted dialogue.

When She is done with the call Selva asks about it. Magi starts crying and tells her sad story????. 😡" As I told you before I wanted to make a lot of money by modelling to donate to the orphanages before I die. In that process I came across with this Guy called Sree Kumar. I trusted him so much and I sigend the contrqact papers he gave me without even reading it properly. " Selva interrupts and asks," So what MAgi...just tell me how much is the amount you have to pay him for breaking up his contract I can settle it with a single cheque"

Magi says," No it does not involve with money. The condition is that I have to with people and spend time with them. I refused and he started threatening me showing the contract. And I escaped from him and came to the Hotel just to hide from him. And Selva that fellow has come here too to Madras. He even came to Bombay hotel to meet me but somehow I avoided him. I am scared Selva" Selva consoles her and she uses this chance and rests her head comfortably on Selva's chest..

Nithila is waiting for Selva at the dinner table. She tries calling him but gets the " switched off" message. Then she call the Godown and asks whether Selva is still there. But the watchman tells that he never came there and never took the Shift sheet from him. Hearing this Nithi tells him to bring the Shift Sheet to the office in the morning.

After sometime Selva reaches there. He starts telling ,"mmm.....mmm. intha watch man must be changed. He is so irresponsible. When I asked for the S Sheet ...he started looking for it all over the place....." Nithila asks him," oh...I see...so at last he gave you the file or not?" Selva says no and he comes to the table and starts eating his dinner.

Nithila tells," romba pasiyaa???? you always go to the room and get freshen up and change and then only you come to eat...but today....?" Selva gets angry and asks." ippa saapidavaa ...illa vendama" Nithi says," ayo saapidunga"

Next morning, Selva is in his cabin and Magi calls and address him "Hi honey"(yak..........😒) and Selva also starts konjifying....magi....da...kanna...chellam etc. Magi asks him to visit her right away. Nithila comes into Selva's cabin...and she requests him to take her also with him home in the evening. But Selva refuses and tells that he is busy. Nithi still stands there and Selva leaves from there.

Nithi realises that he has out of the building and she quickly grabes her bag and goes out. She asks the watchman and he tells that Selva's car just left from there. She takes an auto and tells the auto to follow that car.

Update for Monday
Ep 290

1) recap from the previous ep, nithi catches an auto and follows selva's car. (some car follow scenes is shown) magi is cleaning some stuffs in her house and comes across a binocular. she looks at the clock and then calls selva on her mobile to ask when is he coming over. selva tells her he will be there in 10 min but magi says she wants to play some game while he is on the way. magi says since she guessed correctly that selva is coming to her place then selva should also guess something and that is to find out what is the color of her dress. while saying, she runs upstairs with the binoculars (probably to use it to find out what color dress is selva wearing using her binoculars). (i find this game so redundant unless they are going to let magi discover that selva is being followed)

2) nithi is hot on selva's heels and selva starts guessing while magi uses the binoculars to look out for selva's car from her balcony. selva guesses wrongly and he asked her to guess his clothes colors. she then guesses selva shirt as blue (seen from her binoculars), she continues saying he has a pen on his shirt pocket and some other things correctly. (and im right, i guessed correctly) magi sees nithi in an auto following selva and tells selva about it and asks him not to stop his car infront of her house. selva notices it from his rear mirror and stops his car just outside magi's house. he walks over to the auto and asks nithi if she is spying on him and gives her a tight slap! he tells nithi to mind her own business and that he will go out with whoever he wants and that he will give her the divorce soon and tells her to get lost. nithi leaves in the auto embarrased and upset. next scene, magi scolds selva inside the house saying what he did was wrong. selva tells magi that nithi is torturing him and he only feels at peace with magi. magi then uses his hands to beat herself making selva guilty and suddenly she faints (nice try magi, but it sucked!).

3) maha is trying to wake poochi who is sleeping by using a liquor bottle (some comedy scene). maha asks poochi for some money but before he could take his money out from his pocket, he drops down asleep (poochi is actually acting lol). maha walks away and comes back with a hot metal rod and poochi wakes up. while both is making hiatus, surya walks in and maha complains to him about not having money for sarukku. poochi says that surya is thinking very seriously and asks him what is the matter. surya says he wants to buy ganja and asks where can he get one for 1 lax. maha says he has friend who deals with ganja and surya passes the money to him and gets poochi to go with him to get it (poochi queries on his weird requests but surya avoids answering him). next scene shows selva walking about in the hospital and a lady doctor comes out. she shakes selva's hand and says "congratulations, your wife is conceived!". selva is shocked! THODARUM....

i feel that there are many scenes that are predictable and this climax is so totally wrong!

Update for Tuesday
Ep 291

(just a note, the starting theme song used to end with nithi then followed by magi (for a few eps) and today or i should say since yesterday, it ends with aathi's face. i wonder if it suggests anything.)

1) recap from the previous ep, the lady doctor informs selva that magi is conceived. selva is shocked to hear that. she informs him to stay with her always and keep her happy. magi then comes out and ask selva if he is shocked. she tells him that she didn't expect to be pregnant now since she is going to die soon. she says she had always wanted a kutty selva growing in her tummy (yucks!) but it came at the wrong time and starts sobbing. selva tells her to go home to talk about it. magi then suggests an abortion since she won't be alive to go through the pregnancy. she hugs selva and cries with selva terribly confused.

2) selva comes home after the shocking news to see nithi sitting on the bed in the dark. he turns on the light and nithi gets the towel for him. she asks him if he feels satisfied by venting his anger after slapping her and tells him his anger is the reason for her behaviour. she goes on to say that ever since he came back from mumbai, his attitude totally changed and he gets angry like he never did before. she also tells him that she knows about him lying about going to the godown when he did not do so but she didn't query him. she says she has alot of trust in him and starts to confess her feelings while she has her back turned towards him. before selva could hear her full confession, he walks off (dejavu: same story from the time nithi tried to confess to selva over the phone when he was in mumbai). after her confession, she turns back to see that selva is not there and lies on the bed and cries (serve you right nithi, you should be having eye contact when you confess your feelings and not show your back!). selva is downstairs in the garden talking to magi and keeps saying "ennada, ennama" (im totally grossed out). he tells magi that he will be there first thing in the morning and turns around to see nithi behind him. she says she has something to tell him and selva asks what is there to talk about and says whatever is it, they can talk in the morning and walks off. (im getting tired of these repeated scenes and the dejavu scenes of nithi trying to confess and always selva disappearing halfway. its frustrating!)

3) next morning, nithi wakes selva up and gives him coffee. she hints that he has been on the phone whole night long and selva quickly says it was for business. she asks him to drink the coffee but he get up and goes to the bathroom. nithi quicky checks selva's cell for sms, and sees the good night message from magi.
