Aditya Chopra's wife stops coming to Yash Raj office
Aditya Chopra's estranged wife Payal has stopped coming to Yash Raj's office in Mumbai, marking a total break in her relationship with the Bollywood magnate.
Interior designer Payal had crafted the look of Yash Raj's sprawling studios in Andheri, and had been attending office even after rumours of their split -- and of Chopra's dating Rani Mukherjee -- surfaced.
Sources inform, "Payal had been visiting the Yash Raj studios even after there were differences between her and Adi but it was not on a regular basis. She would visit it at regular intervals. After all she had designed the swanky place and was very attached to it. But for the last two months one hasn't seen her there at all. It is exactly after Chak De India released by Yash Raj, after a hat-trick of flops (Kabul Express, Ta Ra Rum Pum and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom) that Payal stopped her studio visits."
Industry insiders are also claiming it to be a result of the final amicable settlement between her and Aditya.
Adi's parents, Yash and Pamela Chopra are still very close to their daughter in law despite their son's break up with her. Adi's mom is extremely fond of her and is very keen on her proper settlement. Pam aunty, as she is fondly called is not keeping well presently and it is learnt, Payal has been communicating with her almost every day, being concerned about her ill health. Despite her equation with Payal, Pam has no more objections for Rani's arrival in the Chopra family. She had earlier been quoted saying, if their son has chosen to marry Rani then they had absolutely no problems regarding it and would accept whoever he gets home. She had also said that she was very fond of Rani and very close to her mother.
Payal belongs to Chopra family's long time family friends, the Khannas. It was a love marriage for Adi and Payal who were childhood sweethearts. Payal was also the associate producer of Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002) and Veer Zaara (2004). But, after six years of marriage noticeable cracks started appearing in their family life when reports of Adi's secret affair with Rani Mukherjee started making headlines.
