Sam had texted unspeakable things about Chachi to Tan, so he was clued in
"Forget it boss" Tan hinted, with a disappointed look
"Chhod beta" he patted Sam, hugged her, and pulled her closer, Sam began to cry again
"Shhh" Tan cooed
II sat lifeless, half the breakfast was uneaten, Manya was gone
she had basically "told off" Chachi

"Chachi... just went bat shit crazy" II said calmly in a state she wasnt feeling on the inside

R&B, did not say a word, he went up with Lasya, on his shoulder

"Kya hua beta?" he asked
"She is toxic, she is unable to say anything without spreading her toxicity" Sam said
"Tan... tu bhi tha?" Ranjan asked confused
"Chaddo... Dad" Tan got up "Ek beer ho jaaye?" he asked
Mahavir came in wondering why no one ate, he began refilling only to see the food still sat there
"Chal beta kuch khila" Tan said cheerfully "Biwi to khilayegi nahi, tu hi khila de"
"Sam?" Ranjan's hand trembled...
"Dad weve been through enough... we are finding lil nuggets of happiness in a huge empty desert...
we dont need her to drive up with 100s of sand trucks onad dump it all off on us"
"she feels for Ma puttar... she was saying Bhabhiji ne hafte bhar ki party kar dena tha" Ranjan smiled
"She is a pathological liar" Sam screamed

II was helping Mahavir refill, and serve Tan, she served Ranjan and took a plate up
R&B stood in the balcony speaking on the intercom
"Agar main ghar par hoon, to please unko andar nahi bhejiye"
II didnt have to ask to know who the "unko" was
She walked over and hugged him tightly
"Whats this for?"
"Not reading a book in the balcony?" she lied sniffling
He hugged her back
"Nobody deserves an adulterous spouse II!!!" he said clearing his throat, as emotion threatened to mute the audio
"I agree" "Kandipa (for sure) "Bilqul" she hugged him tighter... and felt him cringe
He cringed under the feelings of shame and ignominy because of Ranjan's act FIVE FRICKING years ago.
"Ayyo" she cried softly... "What can I do to make it better for u?" she pleaded
"Not a thing" he said softly... agonized

The Saturday morphed from a joyous, family get together to a torn shredded pattern
manya never came out of her room, Nandu ate in the theatre
Tan came up to the balcony brought Ranjan with him
Sam took a nap on R&B and II's bed,
II sat by Lasya as she napped on the sun room bed
By 4 every one left, II wanted R&B to go with her and watch her sing
She didnt want to leave him alone, Tan refused to send him
R&B and Ranjan got dragged for poker
Sam took Manya to emporio
She went to paattu class
And went to Amma's texted R&B atleast a dozen times between 4 and 7 PM
Amma thought something was wrong
She was finishing up writing chapter 11, her last contribution for the NCERT book
II heaved and panted and sighed as she sat down
As usual she she had filled up a picnic basket with Appa's fave paranthas and moong dal halwa and rasmalai
"Edukku dee?" Amma scolded
"amma will u make rasam for me?" II asked

"Bombay for some RBI Summit" Amma said wearily
"Oh... u come to MM no?" II offered
"How can I bring Periappa?" Amma argued
"WHY NOT?" II asked
"Appa already told Janaki Athai's husband" Amma said unenthusiastically
