Ch 10 : Her Acceptance
After changing her clothes in to comfortable satin nightie, she joined him in the bed. When he saw her, he smiled and kept his files & laptop away. Taani returned the smile, she was about to lay down on her side of the bed when he called out for her.
"Taani-"
"Ji." Taani turned to him, Rey composed himself and look into her eyes before he spoke.
"I want to talk to you."
Taani nodded and waited for him to continue. Rey look here & there, not knowing how to start the conversation, but when he saw her, looking at him with some hope in her eyes, he pushed himself to say everything to her.
"Remember, i said on the first night of our wedding that i need some time-" Rey started off, observing her expressions. Taani kept her face blank, but there was light of hope in her hazel orbs which he hadn't failed to see. No matter how much she shows his distance from her doesn't affect her, but it wasn't truth. Like any normal girl, she too had dreams attached to this marriage but she never wanted to fulfill her dream by forcing him when she could see he wasn't ready.
"I remember. Rey, if you can take as much as time you want. There won't be any pressure from my side-" Taani whispered in soft tone. A small gasp left her lips as he held her hand.
"I'm ready. I'm ready to start our married life." Rey told her, there was no hesitation or doubt in his voice, letting her know he was doing this from his heart and with his own will.
It took her a moment to understand what he had really said, sudden happiness seeped through her, making her heart beat faster than usual. It was something she was longing to hear, from past 2 months.
"Sacchi?" She asked him innocently, making him nod at her in response.
"But i want to tell you something, before we start our married life-" Rey said to her, her brows knitted in confusion. He held her hand in his, tightly, he hoped she will understand him when he will reveal his past to her.
