The Filmfare awards are being held tonight, and if a recent blind item is indeed pointing towards this particular function, then there's some drama brewing behind the scene! According to Pinkvilla, two actresses are at loggerheads over who will walk away with the coveted Best Actress award. Apparently, Actress #1 - who is having a good year - thought she would definitely be winning the award, and therefore had full plans to attend. However, Actress #2 - who had initially decided not to attend the ceremony - suddenly had a change of heart and thought that she might go.
This seems to have put the organisers in some confusion, and they made a last-minute decision to give the award to Actress #2 instead. And to appease Actress #1, it seems like they decided to give her an award in another category entirely. But this has not gone down well with Actress #1, who allegedly was already upset with the nominations.
The result? Actress #1 is skipping the event, while Actress #2 is flying to Mumbai especially for it.
We're not sure if it is indeed the Filmfares this blind item is talking about - or if it's even all that accurate - but we'll keep our ears out for more info!
