If married couple hAve space and privacy which they didn't get in joint family, ishra are big example 😆
that's exactly what I'm saying as well, what ever may be the reason for families to be living apart, they aren't called a joint family. Joint family means everyone lives together like the Bhallas, each may/may not have separate room though.
I know families where nearly 40-50 people live under the same roof, current record in India seems to be some where 100+, I think in Karnataka - I could be wrong though.
