LOL, so many fans of Eastenders here...do you know only Dot is the only member of the original cast from 1980s who is still on the show? She had very riveting plots of her own - Alzheimer's, cancer, death of a grandson....brilliant actress who dealt with hard-hitting real life issues. EE could sometimes be depressing - they dealt with things like racism, child/spousal/sibling abuse, domestic violence, alcoholism, cancer, violence, gang clashes etc. Always such matters would be dealt with profoundly and then helplines given at the end of the episodes. Imagine the issues our serials could deal with - dowry, dscrimination: class/gender, alcoholism, domestic violence, child abuse/neglect, serious expectations on males as well as children, unemployment etc.

Anyway, sorry for my rant. I try to watch Neighbours online. Caryn is right, Bold and Beautiful is just 😕.
