Revealed - Deepika's Role in XXX -

A lot has been written about Deepika Padukone's debut in Hollywood with Vin Diesel with movie xXx: The Return of Xander Cage'.

The latest reports have hinted at Padukone's character in the film. Times Of India published further details of the action thriller. It states that Padukone will be playing a huntress in the film. A source told The Hollywood Reporter, "The new XXX film will be close to the Fast and Furious franchise in that Cage will no longer be alone; he will now have a team of three sexy sidekicks. Deepika will be seen playing a huntress in the film and also Cage's ex lover. And Nina Dobrev will play a witty, sarcastic techie while Ruby Rose will play a sniper."

While, speculation is rife about the movie and Padukone's role in the movie, the actress is yet to confirm her participation. DJ Caruso, the director of the forthcoming film, tweeted in December about the news hashtagging Padukone. When this didn't really indicate any kind of confirmation, Caruso has been seen replying to a tweet in the last few days on Twitter saying that the film will go on the floors this month and that Padukone will join in February.

Nina Dobrev's character seems more interesting.

Though it is a sidekick role, it does seem she has more backstory with being Cage's ex and all. But I still doubt she might get much out of this considering the other two sidekicks who are quite popular in America.
