There Is So Much To See
"There is so much to see Kunj!" Twinkle exclaimed, spreading her arms out and almost hitting her husband in the face.Luckily, he managed to avoid it.
Kunj shook his head as he watched his wife skip before him, leaving her footprints in the soft white sand. It has been five months into their marriage, and one would think her excitement would lessen by now. But nope! Twinkle Sarna has never been a woman to sit idly and maintain her enthusiasm. Whatever she's feeling has to be shown, has to be expressed and it needs the participation of the entire world for her to feel complete. She simply will not rest unless she has brought a smile upon a stranger's face or brightened up their day in some shape or form.
Kunj himself smiled upon this realization. With his head bowed down, he watched his feet sink into the soft sand. The granules fitting themselves so easily within the crevices between his toes and leaving just as fast.
"Can you believe it Kunj? There is so much that we have yet to do but there is just isn't enough time!" Twinkle ran back to him and looped her arm with his, resting her head onto his shoulder.
As they walked in sync with each other, Kunj smiled softly and interlocked their fingers. Her ring resting softly against his.
"There is plenty of time Twinkle. You just need to stop being so fast and trying to do everything at once." Kunj advised.
"But Kunj-" Twinkle began to complain but Kunj shushed her, knowing that she was about to list off all things that she had still wished to do.
"Twinkle, did you stop to notice what's around you right now?" Kunj quietly asked. "Look at how the sun setting down is smudging the sky with all shades of purples, pinks, yellows and oranges? Or how the birds are singing their songs as they get ready to rest for the night?"
Twinkle listened quietly as Kunj pointed these things out for her.
"Or how about listen to the waves as they recede and move forward? The sea foam being left behind for a fraction of a second before it gets submerged and part of the wet, dark sand?" Kunj kissed the top of Twinkle's forehead as he looked out at the sea, over her head. "Look at those small boats coming in after a long day of hard work. Who knows what their catch was like today. If it will be enough to feed their family for the night."
Twinkle looped her hands around Kunj's waist and hugged him.
"There is a lot to see Twinkle. But it's not just in the fast high-paced life. You can't see everything if you're moving too fast. Sometimes you just need to slow down and experience life as it comes. See what's present in the little moments." Kunj spoke.
"Like this?" Twinkle asked, peering up at her husband.
"Like this." Kunj answered with a smile, grazing her cheek softly.
