I have no idea why I hadn't read Disillusioned' up until today!!! It's unbelievable!
Anyway, I absolutely loved it! The plot is well-planned and the element of mystery and suspense is maintained quite nicely. Until a certain point, I had my doubts about a number of possibilities for the identity of the culprit.
The character portrayals are just awesome. The idea of Khushi as a Raizada and Arnav as a thief is absolutely thrilling. Also, the disparity between their social standing and the improbability or kind of a forbidden nature of their relationship makes it all the more rousing.
I must say, this take on Anjali's character is one of the best I've ever read! She gave me more creeps than any Shyam ever managed to and it is certainly not because I'm averse to homosexuality. Kudos to you for rendering her like that.
Being a sucker for romance and happy-endings, I was left wanting for more. I understand that you wanted to keep it real. The ending you wrote was open and goes well with the theme of suspense, the nature of the protagonists and the essence of their relationship.
Even then, I urge you to consider writing a sequel to explore their relationship further or at the very least, a sneak-peek into their probable future. Cause although there are numerous possibilities for the two, I'd like to know the one you'd envision for them. Please, please, please...pwetty please?? If not right away, I hope you'll consider it sometime in the future.
Anyhow, I really loved the story and enjoyed reading it immensely. Thank you so much for sharing it here! :)
