RK: I am going through a blend of excitement, anxiety and nervousness. There are so many emotions running in my mind that I am completely blank now.
RKS: If not an actor, what would you have been?
RK: Even when I was a kid, I knew that I had to do something with films. But gradually, I was sure that acting was what I wanted to do. In fact, for a long time now, there wasn't a day when I did not go to mom and dad to tell them that I wanted to be an actor.
RKS: How hard did you work for Saawariya?
RK: I have worked very hard for this movie. Like any other aspiring actor, I have attended the mandatory classes diction, dancing... the works. I also went to a film school abroad and studied acting there for two years. When I came back, I assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Black. It was only after that he considered me for this film.
RKS: Do you have Plan B like other star kids who went abroad and had their businesses there?
RK: Even if I fail as an actor, I will still struggle to be here in the industry. I guess I am not cut out to do anything else. I am just meant to be a part of the film industry.
RKS: What have you learnt from mom and dad?
RK: From dad I have learnt the passion for acting and his love for his family. Mom has inculcated values in me.
RKS: And from me?
RK: You have given me a black eye and a scar on my forehead.
RKS : Yes, when mom and dad used to go out of the house, we both used to wrestle.
RK: She bullied me all the time. She used to beat me till the time I was shorter than her.
RKS: Someone called you a gay icon recently. What do you have to say to that?
RK: Bizarre! Where did that come from? This is just too much to handle.
