I took my medicine and then I forwarded my both hands for handing over the glass to her and made a puppy face and fluttered my eyelashes... She was about to take the glass and I held it while looking into her eyes...
Nandini- (irritated) Leave it Manik...
"Nandini... suno na... (She stared at me)... please..."
I quickly took a step forward without waiting for her reply and leaned a bit forward. I made the most innocent and cute face while I looked into her eyes again...

She twisted her hand to get out of my grip and she gritted her teeth and walked away. I sat there on the staircase and called her again..."Aaarree Nandini suno toh..." and she stopped near the couch in the living room...
Nandini - (turned to look at him) mujhe tumhari koi baat nahi sunani... Samjhe...
"Aaaree mein baat kaha kar raha hun (I got up from the stairs and started to walk towards her)... mein toh tumhare liye... (Sneezed again) aaahhhcchhooo...gaa raha hun..."
Nandini - I am not interested...
She left for the kitchen and I spoke to myself while ruffling my hair, as I was not able to mellow THE TIGRESS not even an inch... "I don't believe this... Manik beta, this is not gonna be easy...uuufff... (I rolled up my shirt sleeves)... Chal beta sirf song se baat nahi banegi... aage ki lines ki liye... aaahhhcchhooo... kuch karna padhega..."
I started traversing my eyes to find something that could be my aid in my MISSION and then my eyes stopped on the shopping bag from CHANEL... My eyes were twinkling when I saw the RED LIPSTICK... and then I grinned.
I looked up towards Nandini's BAPPA "Not bad BAPPA... THANK YOU for this..." I giggled over it and quickly stood in front of the mirror...
After completing my job with the Lipstick I went straight to the kitchen... I kept nagging to get her attention and she wasn't agreeing to give it to me... At last she placed the Mug on the kitchen platform with a thud...
I started to open my first 4-5 buttons of the shirt and Nandini's eyes popped out of astonishment seeing me do that... I quickly smiled at her and seductively drifted the left side of my shirt... And it flashed her name "NANDINI" written with the lipstick on MY HEART...

Nandini- Acha...
[He spread his arms in front of her in SRK style and winked at her... then he picked up the rolling pin (belan) and gave it to her... he quickly bowed down in front of her...]

She jerked my hand and then turned away from me... she then took 2 steps with a smile towards me and it lightened up my face...
My breath got hitched when she seductively traced her finger on my face...
Saare sitam... hanske main... sahoon to...
She winked at me... I felt something hot... And I screamed out.."oouuucchhh"... and licked my finger... she had put my finger in the hot tea. She gave her victory smirk to me and left...

She was standing in the Living Room and I picked her up in my arms and she let out a scream... "MANIK..." But, I sang with a smile and I danced with her in my arms while she rolled away her eyes in annoyance...

[She began to wriggle in his arms... and he got a bit irritated...]

[Finally she gave up and sat there... He tried to get close to her...]

[She slowly leaned back and he started to come on top of her...]

We shared an intense eye lock...
But, she pushed me away and got up... I landed up on the floor and made a sad puppy face while she scowled at me...

Main in aankhon mein jo rahoon to... aaahhhcchhooo...
She turned and slightly chuckled which I couldn't see... She didn't react for a few minutes and then I got up from the floor with a disappointment as nothing worked... I spoke with a sad voice...
"I don't know what to do... what should I do to make you believe me that I am... I am really sorry Nandini for hurting you... " She then tuned to look at me with her hands crossed near her chest and I continued blabbering whatever came in my mind...
"I just freaked out when I realized that you will leave me again... I know I should have listened to you, I know I am stupid, idiot, moron, jerk... You are free to call me whatever you want... I deserve it... (Tears welled up in my eyes)... But, the fact is I... I can't live without you Nandini... I can't think of a life without you... Never... I'll die Nand... "
I wasn't able to speak as I was stopped and I couldn't understand what happened for a few seconds... I felt her hands on my back clenching my shirt tightly and her face snuggled in my chest... I slowly placed my hands around her and held her back with same fervor... I don't know for how long we stood like that... I can never express the feeling in words of her being in my embrace.
Our passionate hug was disturbed by a phone call... I scuffled and hissed with irritation due to the interruption in my most important work of being close to Nandini... I so wanted to break the neck of the person who invented phone at that moment... I didn't leave her and she gently dapped on my chest twice with a pleading pout...
Nandini- Manik leave me na I need to take the call maybe its mom...
I impishly grinned as she squirmed while I held her and then quickly pecked her cheek before I let her go. She picked her phone, as it was her mom's call.
Nandini- Hi mom, how is everything there... (Her mother was a bit surprised to hear here cheerful voice)... mom nothing like that...
She glanced at me during her conversation and I saw her twinkling eyes, which brought immense satisfaction to me... Her one smile made my heart flutter. She was still on the call and I toddled towards her and gently placed my hands on her waist. She immediately stopped speaking as she realized I was holding her... She went mum and I could hear her mother calling her out... I sheepishly grinned by snuggling more in her hair after seeing my effect on her...
She immediately composed herself and reacted to the non-stop voice of her mother on the phone and patted on my hand that told me I had to be quiet...
Nandini- ya... ya mom I am listening... (She asked her what happened) Mom ya you can stay there and don't worry about me... I'll call up Navya to be with me tonight... Ya, say Hi to Mausi... Anyways I have to do my packing now... Ya, take care... Good night.
She quickly disconnected the phone and turned around to look at me and she gave me a look, which clearly said "WHAT WERE YOU DOING...". I just held her again and winked at her and then jerked her close to me and she rested her face on my chest... I whispered in her ear... "I never knew my touch could cause such an effect on you... I must be SPECIAL TO YOU... "
She didn't reply to me and I tried to glance at her but she burrowed more into my chest... I smiled at her antics and spoke softly to her... "Nandini, so you are not anymore angry with me now..." She bobbed her head in a NO' over my chest and blushed. I so loved her when she blushed and behaved shyly, I just wanted to gobble her puffy cheeks that time...
I made her look at me, but she lowered her eyes and I placed wet kiss on her both cheeks..."it feels so good when you are this close to me Nandini... but, my stomach is growling as I am very hungry..." She giggled about it and looked at me...
Nandini- 15 minutes, I'll prepare dinner for you...
I corrected her... "I'll prepare dinner for us... (I tucked her hair behind her ear and felt sad) I know you haven't eaten anything too... all my mistake..." She stopped me by placing her finger on my lips and smiled at me with assuring eyes... She left for the kitchen and I followed her.
"Vaise what's on the menu??"
Nandini- what do you wanna eat???
"Hhhmmm I don't want you to stand her for long... you'll get tired...make noodles for us... I don't wanna waste time.. Your parents are out for the night so I can't let this opportunity go... you know..." I tried to be as genuine and serious as I could and then her giggling started again...
I really didn't get what she found funny in it, but I was happy to see her smile. She quickly made noodles and we both sat on the couch in the living room to have our dinner. We pounced on the noodles as if we had never seen them. She finished her chores in kitchen and I lifted her in my arms, but this time she didn't squirm... I looked into her eyes to seek her permission to take her like that to her room and her expressive eyes answered a YES...
I carefully laid her on the bed and then placed myself next to her. Words weren't required for us to communicate coz our eyes did the job. I took her hand in mine... My eyes got moist while I spoke to her "Nandini, I want to be with you forever till my last breath. For how long you have to be in London?"
Nandini - Manik I have to serve my notice period and then wrap up things. I think around a month and half... I know it's a long time, but you know it why I am doing this.
"Hhmmm I do... Listen, once we reach Mumbai I am going to speak to mom and dad tomorrow about us. I mean isse pehle ek aur Aryaman na aa jaye aur tumhari mom... No ways I can't chances you know..." She chuckled over it.
Nandini- Manik, but tumne mujhse toh poocha hi nahi... Infact I have certain issues to settle with you first. (Manik gave a confused look) I want you to certain things for me first uske baad I'll think...
"Ok... But kya chizen..." She removed her hand from mine that left me a bit startled and sat on the bed.
Nandini- yeh impulsive behaviour nahi chalega aage se... tum harr week mujhe dinner pe le jaoge... hhmmm shopping jab mein bolu... You will always agree to what I say... Aur ha yeh Lipstick se naam likha nahi chalega, I want you to get my name tattooed there.
I instantly agreed to all her demands but instead of getting happy she slapped on my hand. "What, I agreed na to all your terms..."
Nandini- I don't believe this, how can you agree to all my unreasonable demands, not right Manik... (She again slept and placed her hand on his cheek) Manik, you don't have to do all this, you don't need to agree to whatever I say... I want us to do things together, take decisions mutually.
She pecked my cheek gently and then she kissed my forehead, eyes and simultaneously she opened my shirt buttons. I was never expecting her to do this and I just placed my one hand around her and my other hand just tucked her hair behind.
She slowly drifted my left side of the shirt and gently kissed over MY HEART where I had written her name. I just closed my eyes to feel her touch... but then I felt her tears, I made her look at me... "Kya hua Nandini, why are you crying??" she didn't answer me and hid her face in my chest and I could feel her sobbing. "Nandini kya hua bolo..."
Nandini- Manik tum meri wajah se bimar ho gaye... Why did you stand in the rain, never do that to me, it hurts to see you like that... I am sorry...
I smiled and thought of cheering her up a bit... "ya voh toh hai... ok fine, I will accept your sorry on one condition..." She lifted her face and gave me a confused look and I pulled her more close to me.
"So FUTURE MRS.MANIK MALHOTRA aapki SORRY sirf ek condition pe accept hogi, you have to KISS ME RIGHT NOW..."
She was shocked and got out of my hold and I pulled her back...
"Just ONE HARMLESS KISS and that to here (I pointed my LIPS)... (Her lips were shivering)... darr rahi ho... Forget it tumse nahi hoga, you can't kiss me..."
She retorted back with irritation..
Nandini- aaarrree I am not scared, I can do it...
I was trying hard to suppress my smile after seeing MY TIGRESS back in action... "Acha, toh show me... I know tum nahi kar sakti..." She looked at me wide eyes and I knew what was going inside her mind as I had instigated her...
Nandini kept staring at me and then smirked... I was a bit confused.
Nandini- I can do it Mr. Malhotra...
She slowly decreased the gap between us and instead of being confident I was completely the opposite and the anticipation was giving me Goosebumps. Our eyes didn't leave each other and then I felt a cloth on my lips. I noticed it was her chiffon scarf and then our eyes got closed.
I felt a slight touch; it was her soft and delicate lips just slightly placed on mine with that scarf in between. Our breaths mingled and we stayed like that, her lips gently on mine with no moment... it was blissful to feel her... I slightly parted my lips and took her lips in mine and traced my hand on her waist. Tears escaped her eyes on my cheeks.
It was the most beautiful moment of our life "OUR FIRST KISS" and we stayed like that...
10 MONTHS LATER, MUMBAI
9:15 a.m., On The way to BANDRA

I looked at the scarf in my hand and gently caressed it. It was the memory of MY FIRST KISS... I slightly smiled remembering that day and a smile crept on my lips... Mom gently placed her hand on my shoulder.
Manik's Mom- Manik... Nandini ko yeh song bahut pasand...
"Yes Mom usse bahut pasand hai... actually this was the song I sang to cajole her..." We both smiled and then I started driving towards our house with that smile on my lips...
