i dont know about the real story...
but when he said kings all over the country he probably meant most of the kings..coz i dont think there was any king who ruled the whole country 😕

yeah it is a major goof bt if u think about it they cant exactly tell u that this this raja accepted his supremacy and this this raja fought with him. it wld hv been a bit odd
