If its your genuine question. then I have no problem to answer it.
From what I saw in movie after watching it so many times, Rani's character, Maya from the very beginning when she was in her wedding attire, was doubtful to marry Rishi[Abhisekh] and she was convinced by Dev[SRK] to marry Rishi to show respect to Amitabh's character or something along those lines or to respect the friendship she had with Rishi, especially when she only had Rishi and Amitabh ji as family who took care of her all the time, so she decided to marry Rishi but she was Never really happy in that marriage.
Distances started growing when Rishi was all romantic but Maya was lost. Maya started realizing that although she married Rishi but there is nothing like love from her side for him. It was just respect for him and his father as she considered Amitabh ji as her own father.
One day even Rishi accused Maya of being infertile but what was her fault in being infertile? Although Maya was convinced by Dev's answer on her wedding day but, she later realized that she was not happy. Its not always sexual happyness, it was about finding real Love. Was Maya really happy with Rishi from beginning? Answer is no, so why to expect from her to continue her marriage? Maya has whole rights to walk away from that marriage where she is lost. Yes, she was wrong in realizing it later but hey, she is a human and can do mistakes. Also, Karan failed to show solid reasons of their divorce, he should have showed Rishi with some bad qualities too! Rishi should not be perfect! Nobody is!
And may be Maya felt love in arms of Dev, and both of them understood each other nd their problems. SRK's character was about a frustrated man and is still more understandable than other characters. Also, Karan should have shown some negative qualities of Riya. Why Riya and Rishi had to be perfect/semi-perfect?😕 Karan failed here. If he had shown both Riya & Rishi as spoilt then Maya & Dev's character would have made more sense.
Anyway, my reason for watching the moview was solely Rani 😳...Rani acted very nicely in the movie and I love her equation with Preity, I have loved all their movies like Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, that song Piya Piya O Piya Piya O...⭐️...then Rani's pair with SRK & Abhiselk is fabulous for me, and there is Amitabh bachhan then, what else I need. Yes, movie was long and hence boring...at times, but I as a admirer of Rani's acting can watch it.😃😆
I was so shocked that why people here criticize KANK so much! Even all my friends criticize it but they cannot deny the fact that actors acted really well in movie. I love all songs, still listen most of them, Tumhi Dekho Naah, and Mitwa are favourite! Title song KANK is favourite too!😳
