Mandy played this task for sake of Rish. She did each and everything she could do to make Rish win the task. She never suspected Rish as murderer and knew with 100% surety that the murderer is none other than Prince. She knew that she's an ordinary person in this task so ultimately she would be murdered as she's not the type who would hide in the toilet to not get murdered (nominated). So she thought that instead of trying to save her own self from nominations it would be wise to make Rish win the task so that he may get some power or captaincy.
Now here are few points that will make it crystal clear that how she played:
* First of all we all need to understand that detective's job was not to stop the murder but to identify the murderer once the murders have been committed. And for this purpose it was mandatory that few murders must be committed.
* In the morning we saw Rish, Mandy and Gizel laughing and ridiculing Priya and housemates at the fact that they all are thinking that Rish, a detective, is a murderer.
* Later we saw Prince telling Mandy openly that he is a murderer, he has murdered Gizel, tried to murder Mandy but unsuccessful and that BB has gave him number of ways to do the murder.
* In the next scene we see BB calling Prince, and he is talking to BB in front of Mandy and then saying to her that he urgently needs to go to wash room, will come back in a minute.
* When he came out, he came towards Mandy and started doing that food throwing act. Mandana played along and showed reaction, called Rish and later go to wash room as well as maybe BB requires her to show reaction in front of housemates for declaring her murder. She also tried to convince them to come outside.
* Later we saw Mandy, Rish and Prince in bedroom when BB announced her murder. If you see that scene minutely then Mandy's lips were synching with BB while taking her name, as she was waiting for BB to announce it.
* Then she went to washroom again and asked Priya to put her in coffin. Rish was also a detective and her friend too so if something was not fishy then she should have asked Rish to do that but she asked this from Priya.
* Plus she also told Priya that Prince is a murderer. In Policy task it was crystal clear that Mandy and Priya dislike each other a lot so it was a red light for Priya that why would Mandy suddenly started having that much concern about her. Mandy's friend is Rish and as out of two detectives, only one would win then if Mandy really knows who the murderer is then she would tell this to Rish and not Priya. So in this way Mandy tried to make Priya belief that Prince is not a murderer.
* While court room, Mandy told the juror in detail that the moment her tears fall, she was declared murdered which shows that she understood fully that how her murder was committed but after some second she took the name of Rish as a murderer while voting process to strengthened the belief of Priya b so that she may not change her statement, Mandy just wanted Priya to stick to her statement that Rish is a murderer.
* And once the verdict is declared that Rish won the task, that hi5, a sign that mission has been successfully completed.
