Well , this is gonna be a long post.. it contains a lot of detailing from someone who gets too much into anything that concerns IPK.. I may go off topic also .. So a warning to ones who really don't like long posts..

The first time I watched Jashn.. it was a tonic to my otherwise sore eyes.. a melody to ears that has been acquainted with a lot of cacophony for the last few years. This lead me to not at all getting bothered by how pathetic the script has been till date.. I was too much into my arshi..my sarun... I was too exhilarated with them back on my screen...

But now when i watch it with a little less of excitement with a saner mind .. I realized that yes we have a lot of misses and bloopers in the Jashn as well...

In the first episode I could actually see Barun not into the character , he kind of look confused... and by the time what the came ... it looked out of place.. But just when he was all ready...showered and dress... is inhibitions took a back seat...From the first time i fell for the character of ASR ,.. i observed or rather deduced one thing... there is this one thing common between Barun and ASR .. they are not both with words.. They cannot talk in a stretch... They speak from their eyes... Barun Sobti has the most expressive set of eyes on Indian television.. This set of eyes have shown us all sort emotions in just single scene...too many times... Love...lust... anger...jealousy.. Vulnerability... Amusement... Happiness... Desolation... Stubbornness ...the giving up... and on and on I can on with the feelings that i could see in his eyes.. You just have to look in his eyes and you'll know what we has in his heart.Heck he has even made me cry...the only actor who has made me cry on TV. He was very convincing with that part...Even sanaya has said in one of her interviews that " With barun its different...other actors make act a lot..I am saying this when i have acted with so many actors... he is very much into the scene..he does not even have to act...But dialogue delivery was not his forte..I pointed it out many time...

So I really found him going out of the character of ASR and coming back again...But he took my heart away...with the dialogue "Ek dhun baji thi".. his voice modulation was too good...You can actually feel it in his voice...that's the caliber of the man.

Specially in the scene with Akash.. He looked more like Barun to me.. I thought that Akshay and Barun were talking... Because ASR will never call akash as Tu..ANd he will never call himself mereko...that was the script writer's fault...completely... Actors do make mistakes with the dialogue.. Every actors do.. No one is flawless.. Its the job of the team that is sitting behind the camera who needs to point this out...

But i would like to mention...Akshay looked like a matured and an Akash with a spine.. He was good...And Barun's expression in the end when he was told about the baby was actually Arnavish...

So yes when he kept turning back to ASR and then to BArun it was irritating... But i liked the fact that a person who is more comfortable acting was made to narrate. So i give him that benefit of doubt.. Had it been any actor who was made to stand infront of the camera ..and talk ...with flashback put here and there...with bad editing... it would have sucked... Sorry for the language here.. But this guy pulled it off pretty well.. IPK JAshn being Number two just with the narration part... is an achievement in itself...

I actually liked some parts of few episodes in between because they did focus on the fact that .. Yes for ASR saying I LOVE YOU is difficult...He'll do it only in dire consequences...He still does not believe in Devi Maiyaa..but cant ignore her if Khushi wants it..Him admitting from when he actually never had a distrust on Khushi

Coming straight to the episode where we had mamiji's entry... Okay again even being such an amazing actor it took time for her to get the correct accent.. Yes she was good with the expressions part... but i did not find the accent initially..I am saying this because i have been a huge fan of mamiji since the beginning... . I enjoyed this episode ..and i absolutely loved Barun's expressions as ASR.. Arnav/ASR and mami share a vvery different kind of chemistry... I used to enjoy the little tits and bits between them...the amusement in his eyes... That were there till today... yet again the eyes..and the facial expressions... Too good... I loved the chemistry...

The seventh episode that brought breath of fresh air for everyone on the forum..had also had its share of misses...along with the hits... First of all...it was completely known from the episodes that this guy did not know when the flashbacks are being put... Pathetic absolutely careless editing done by the Editors... Jumping directly to the scene where Khushi enters... The first thing i realised is..Oh God its not Khushi and not Sanaya... Not just the Hi part go with Khushi.. but the way she pronounced Main door..was absolutely very English..and she used "mai" instead of "HUm".She sounded more like Chanchan..and looked as well.. But may be I am wrong because Khushi and Chanchan were quite similar in their mannerism...i dont really know but i kind of found more of Sanaya or Chanchan in the introductory scene...And then I see both of them together in one screen... Giggling i was ..like a stupid fan girl.. And then again she says Hello Hi.. I was like what the ..This is not Khushi again... But all this is yet again the scripts writers fault...These things will not come in an actors mind...specially when they are shooting at such a short notice... and with such less time in hand..and with so many other commitments to look into... Improvisation can be done by the actor only when they have...they have settled down in the character.. Hell when a show starts even ab accomplished actor takes a few episodes to get the sync,... And these guys hardly got that.. So blaming sanaya or barun for not coming out of the script and performing correctly... will be totally wrong... Any way coming back to the scene.. I loved the expressions on Barun's face when he saw Khushi...The satisfaction was again in his eyes.. Yet again this man needs no dialogue.. And then that gussa... And even sanaya was back in the character...completely.. I got my khushi back.. Aage peeche... peeche aage.. I loved it... ANd i guess that's why And i give it to makers who included this scene..and BANG the door.. Both actors were very good in this scene... Arnav's longings to be with his khushi was heard in his voice.. Khushi's fight with her mind and heart to give in / to not give in was visible in her eyes... And then the Rabba Ve . I was gone..

Sanaya's forte is her dialogue delivery... She can speak a lot.. She is chirpy and can go and on.. And that s y i think both of them click..onscreen and off screen also interviews also...Just like AK said .. the other half of each other

Absence of masters like Arshad Khan,..hRishikesh Gandhi and ofcourse GUL made a difference.. Things would have been better. I wish star would have given more detailing ... more homework on this .. But guess their only concentration was on earning money

For me Jashn has been a reliever ..After IPK ended i never watched a single episode...i was too hurt..and hence i did not mind the flashbacks..because they included all my favourite scenes ..reminiscing what happened before or after them...I know Star India has done this as business... But i surely know that all the actors who came back for Jashn have done it for the love of the show..ANd i thank them for doing this...Because they are giving me a closure... I might never watch any other show..because I find them absolutely pathetic,. U tend to get hurt as a fan.. by the time it ends..I am glad IPK ended at the right time..SO as to remain in the hearts of all the fans unlike all the other forgetful shows... I am sad that I might not get to see them together again...atleast not onscreen... i know il get to see them off screen though because they are good friends,...rather family...unlike their respective fans.. I am at least satisfied that their fans have not turned them against each other... 😃😃

Then, asr calling Khushi's amma... what did he address his mother as .."kya meri maa mujhe dekh kar khush hai?" "maa".. thats what the the asr I know would have addressed her as.. if he truly were to be accpeting garima to be filling up the gaping hole his mother's loss left.. i thought that was what khushi was also hoping for .. not mere name sake.. or to follow her foot steps ..

one of the tracks that didn't at all sit well with me in the original was the Gupta house track.. even more than sheetal or Mrs India, mostly becos at the time as it was unfolding, I still had a faith that the show would be restored ... lot of expectations still around..

the way that tack unfolded was itself on an off note.. that entry into Gupta house around rangoli... one of the flash backs of the recent jashn epi...she asked him to turn around in the rangoli.. he did it ...cluelessly...looked foolish.. not at all adorable to me..then she said how good you look listening to me .. made me wonder that time.. did Khushi love asr to be listening to her quietly.. rather foolishly?

back to present, repeat of the same.. on the phone she would command him to turn around.. look around...gaah..

khushi is witty, smart, very resourceful.. can give tit for tat in a ziffy.. he threw the cold milk she brought with all her laad pyaar.. care concern after eating the mirchi daal.. she made him get off a business call.. made some loss for him as well perhaps.. but he couldn't utter a word... pay the penalty my dear... the girl i fell/ still fall for...

Appreciate all the efforts to bring this back to us..

if only a little heart was put into it...of who/ what this love story is all about...

i never liked the gupta house days.. suddenly plonked in in the middle of a tale because everyone lost their way post the forced in forced wedding and decided a move there would be good for trp... a chance to go middle class holier than thou... no real story.

and really asr was not in need of public baths and gobar falls to appreciate the vicissitudes of less financially endowed lives. glad you had reservations about those days. mine were pretty severe... these are hindi serial ploys i find trying. but asr and khushi... both again got it done beautifully with their acting.

amma. a whole story there that might have been explored. yeah... he will never call anyone else maa. but to come to that amma also, if he indeed did that, there would be a great chance to tell a story... otherwise, it's just false sounding and unsettling.

but barun is sounding unlike asr... even unlike himself... he is looking really out of it. wonder why.

i didn't recognise khushi. and alas no dhakdhak when the two got together.

to me this is a marketing thing, didn't touch me. i am going to try and just forget it.

on the other hand.. if there had been a bit of that ingredient... heart... you speak of, might have been a winner. a killer even. sigh.

and thinking more... nah, i can't see him calling garima amma just to please anyone and even if he warmed to her more and more... in fact, i loved the peek into their relationship in ipk... it would have been great to see how he grappled with the fact that she was the other woman... emotionally that is... i wanted to see his initial rejection of the woman who had been indirectly responsible for his mother's death... then the gradual return to the woman who understood him almost instinctively and was gentle and empathised... his "aunty" would gather that love in it... just as his "pagal" did... and as she had said, what difference does it make what you call someone, it's the relationship... asr would call her aunty and love her like a dear elder, perhaps even feel her hurt... another victim of his father's irresponsible wayward nature and give her his support (is that the word i am looking for?) as well as a special tenderness for khushi's amma. who reared her when she lost her parents and never let her feel the loss, loved her like her own.
