If Tamasha=Rockstar

Could it be that,

Jagga Jasoos=Barfi

and

YJHD=ADHM?? 😲

Does anyone else see the analogy?

Rockstar was directed by Imtiaz Ali, got mixed reviews and went on to become an average grosser. Similarly, Tamasha will also probably end up being average/semi-hit, but Ranbir got huge critical acclaim for the role.

So will history repeat itself?

Will Jagga Jasoos end up being a gem like Anurag's previous film Barfi? It looks unlikely at the moment with so much negative press for the film. But Anurag rarely makes bad films.

And finally ADHM, another Dharma film, just like YJHD. KJo is making sure the film gets maximum pre-release hype. This could be a potential blockbuster.

Agree with all 3...

Tamasha will turn out average at BO like Rockstar with lots of critical acclaim for RK and DP

JJ might turn out to be gem like Barfi, Basu is a genius director. But I hope he changes the heroine, Kat cannot act. 😆 He shd have taken Ileana instead, she looked lovely with RK in Barfi.

And ADHM has Ash, Anu, RK and Fawad...direction by KJo himself, pukka Blockbuster. 😃

The problem with JJ is not Katrina. Ileana is also not a good actress per se, but Anurag used her limited skills well. And I doubt Katrina will be on screen all the time. The film is called Jagga Jasoos meaning its gonna be an out and out Ranbir show.

However, with all these delays, god knows what the final script has turned out to be like.

ADHM currently looks like the only sure-shot blockbuster.

he got filmfare for Rockstar i dont think he is coming anywhere near to awards this time!!!

and history wont repeat with JJ ADHM likely to be a success but it wont be as huge as YJHD(clash and diwali)

TM...i just want to say taht i love you for promoting ranbir..and also wanna say i just love this guy...as an artist. ok..next..i am going bit off topic here...

but to see ranbir come back with a smasher performance..just given me hope that woh din door nahi jab mera shah comes back with a smasher performance also.

and how about ...shayaad, maybe, just maybe begum also come out smashing one day. BUT..hold it...she just signed angrez wannabe sanjay gupta's crap. so gayab ho jaa begum.

now...i am high after seeing biru in tamasha. i HATE to say this but i cannot wait to see him play with bahurani's chffon's and anushka's zabardast lips in kjo's next. i hope to see all this happening in nice gardens, with nice songs. so bring on kjo!

and yes..with basu directing jagoo...anything can happen, either floppy to disaster or another solid, hopefully zara hatke performance from biru. i had 0 expectation from tamasha, but hey, biru surprised me...so hoping for more surprises.

Remember, Filmfare has two awards to give away for male leads.

One is the critics award the other in the main one.

I didnt like Ranbir's Tamasha performance that much myself. But majority of people thought he was ace.

If not the popular one, he has good chance of winning the critics one. (he won the critics award for Rockstar too)

Irfan and nawaz for what?

I havent seen talvar, but was Irfan that good in it? Piku, I dont think so, the film itself was excellent but Irfan's individual performance was nothing remarkable.

And they would most likely give best supporting actor award to nawaz for badlapur/bb

Ileana was wonderful in Barfi, quite ethereal, Basu knows how to extract best performance from his actor/ actresses! She even got Filmfare Best Debut award and many other debut awards for Barfi.

Basu writes and rewrites his script while making the movie, he did the same in Barfi, so I think JJ might turn out to be a good one too.
