No. Salman helped her through in this industry. But ultimately, you need to survive on your own. Salman cannot force audiences to like Katrina. So, she became popular and that is to her credit. And her downfall, also, is her doing. She, alone, is responsible for both the rise and downfall of her career.

Her beauty, screen presence, dancing skills, hotness quotient worked in her favour. Where as, the acting capabilities or rather, the lack of it, brought her down.
