Morning at Iyer House.
"Ishu wake up kanna. Please get ready soon. Amma is shouting since the morning" said Ishitha's elder sister trying to wake up Ishitha.
Ishitha was very annoyed that her family is waking her up so early even though it's a holiday. "What akka...Why are you waking me up and for what should I get ready?" asked Ishitha sleepily and confused.
"Aiyyo Ishu...What are you asking? I told you that a boy is coming to meet you today" said amma.
"Yeah amma I remember. But they're coming in the evening nuh. So why should I get ready soon" said Ishu really angry with her family for making this small event a circus.
"What Ishu I totally agree with Aunty. You have to get ready from now onwards" said mihika winking at Ishu. Mihika was Ishitha's best friend since childhood and she works as a marketing manager in a multi national company like Ishitha. As the two are in good posts and are busy with work they don't meet very often now.
"Mihika..." shouted Ishitha so excited to meet her friend after a long time. The two friends hugged each other so happily and mihika assured Amma that she'll make sure Ishu gets ready before time.
Bhalla House.
"Raman...wake up. How many times do I have to wake you up" shouted Thoshi who failed to wake up Raman since a hour.
Annoyed with his mother's blabbering he woke up and looked at Thoshi confused and asked "Maa...What's wrong with you. You know I don't wake up early on holidays. Why are you after me now at 8 in the morning"
"Raman I told you yesterday itself that we're going to meet that girl today. So please wake up and get ready soon"
"Ok ok maa. I said I'll come nuh. So i'll definitely come. I'll get ready on time. Now please leave me alone for sometime"
After Thoshi went Raman was thinking of a way to reject this proposal in a way his parents won't be annoyed with him. He saw a different smile in his mother's face this time which he didn't see ever before which made him sure that his mother had lots of expectations in this proposal. After thinking for sometime he thought that being rude to the girl today itself will solve the problem and that she'll reject the proposal herself leaving him as the innocent party.
In the evening the bhallas arrived at the Iyer house and the Iyer family warmly welcomed them in. Raman was least interested in the surrounding so he kept on staring at his phone without even glancing around.
After sometime Mrs.Iyer asked Vandu and Mihika to call Ishu to the living room. Soon they went to Ishitha's room and started teasing her.
"You know what Ishu he's really handsome and I think he's a bit shy" said vandu laughing at Ishu.
"Yeah Ishu he kept on staring at the phone and didn't even look up once. I think he will only look at his to be wife today" said mihika giving a high five to vandu.
"Please can you two stop now and shall we go before amma comes here scolding all three of us" said Ishu totally annoyed with the two.
"Oh ho vandu akka someone is so desperate to meet her to be husband" said mihika teasingly while Ishu gave her a deadly glare.
"Ok ok let's go" said vandu controlling her laughs.
Ishitha entered the living room and Thoshi was mesmerised to see her in a baby pink and silver saree with minimal me up and jewellery. She came near her and kissed her forehead lovingly which made Ishitha look up which made her shocked to see Raman's mother as the groom's mother.
At the same time Raman looked up and got a huge shock to see Ishitha there and quickly stood up and asked "Maa...What's going on?"
"Arey what's going on... Look at your would be wife. See how beautiful she is"
"Maa I know her very well. How can you think that I'll marry her. She works in our company"
"I know she works in our company. I met her there only and then and there I decided that she would be your wife"
"I think we should give them sometime to talk alone" said Mrs.Iyer to which Ishitha tried to object " But amma..."
" Beta your'll can talk to each other and decide. So please go and talk with him" said Mr.Bhalla who was so happy with his wife's choice for their son.
Vandu's husband Bala took them to Ishitha's room and as he didn't like Raman's attitude he chose to stay near the door to listen to their conversation. But soon mihika came and told him that appa is calling him, so he had to go.
In Ishitha's room.
"So you knew about this. You met my mother and still didn't tell me" barked Raman to Ishu.
Ishitha was taken aback with Raman's tone but answered calmly "Look Mr.Bhalla I met your mother two days ago when she came to give your lunch. She just asked my name and apart from that she didn't tell me anything. I had no idea that your the one whose coming to meet me"
"Ok whatever"
"Look I don't want to marry you. So please tell them that this marraige won't happen " said Raman authoritatively.
Ishitha didn't like the way how he talked so she spat back " Why are you asking me to tell. It's your decision so you tell them"
"Yeah why would you tell it. Why would you deny to marry a rich guy right?"
Ishitha was really hurt and angry by raman's words and she said that "I never value money over relationships so I'll never agree to marry a man like you who never respect a relationship"
"Exactly. So you tell our parents that your not ready for this marraige"
"Look Mr.Bhalla this is not your office to order me to do things. Why are you asking me to tell them if you have the guts to speak so go and tell them your decision first then I'll tell mine" said Ishu equally rude.
Raman was very angry with Ishu for hurting his ego so he shouted at her saying " No one has ever talked to me like that before. Your my seem employee so learn to respect me"
"Really? I will tell you one thing Mr.Raman Kumar Bhalla. Respect is something which should be earned and not asked for. I did respect you but now seeing your true colours you just lost it. But yes I'll tell them that this marraige won't happen and also I'll tell them how you talked to me just now. You have really crossed your limit today" said Ishu and turned to leave while Raman tried to stop her as if she tells them what happened now his parents will not leave him. But before he could stop she already left.
In the living room.
Amma and Mrs.bhalla saw ishu coming and Raman running behind her. They asked for their decision.
Ishu closed her eyes and said "I'm sorry Aunty we don't match each other. So this marraige won't happen. As he says we're employer and employee so it's better to remain so"
"What are you saying Ishu?Your also in a very good in the company earning a good salary so what your saying is baseless" said Mr.Iyer while Mr.Bhalla too agreed and said "Ishitha beta...Even I think that your'll are made for each other. And Raman is silent so I think he likes this marraige. Please don't deny"
Ishitha was very angry with Raman for keeping quiet and putting the whole blame on her. But she really didn't want to marry someone rude like Raman so she looked up to tell the truth but stopped seeing Mrs.bhalla's sad face and she just whispered a sorry and left to her room leaving her smirking Raman.
Bala who was only concerned about Ishu's happiness said "I think this won't happen. So there's no point of discussing about it"
Silently vandu, mihika and bala went inside while Raman silently went to the car. Thoshi and amma was so sad and amma said "Thoshi now I think this won't happen"
"No no madhu. You don't worry their marraige will definitely happen". And then the two mothers started planning their mission of convincing Ishra for their marraige.
