Why did PRDP under perform ?

Where does it under perform? expectation from film was exaggerated as it will do 300+ cr business, due to which this much -ve bash happened. Films with good script, better actor than salman are not even doing half the business of what salman films do, considering the fact that other films might have been made in context with today's audience.

Raanjhana was also not a potboiler you know, one of the major reasons why Raanjhana worked was because the direction and dialogues were outstanding, whereas PRDP seems to have weird dialogues and bad direction too..

moreover, sonam-salman lacking good chemistry is also an outcome of the fact that their age difference is so obvious , moreover, sonam playing a sugary sweet role and getting panned by the critics is already a big let down.

I agree, Rajshri films never had a solid story line, but still those films had a heart i think, and music was great too.. As you have pointed that out, the title song was so frigging lame and infact it was embarrassing .. sonam made it so awkward..

and since last 10 years, the only film salman was good is Bajrangi bhaijaan .. he has lost his onscreen charm too with bulged up body and something is really wrong with the face, i mean he was so charming even couple of years back, what happened to him ..?

yeah babe, not denying that, Ranjhanna is right up there in my favourite sagas to unfold in recent times, probably with Highway and Gangster..only thing is that when that movie happened I thought Sonam could act, if extracted from her..but seems like it was a fluke from her and more of Anand Rai's mastery, Himanshu's script and Dhanush's class performance and a strong female character sketch handed over to her which somewhat made her average act look decent🤔

Salman - well alcohol, steroids, neurological disease, charges against him et al..bound to affect his looks..in PRDP he definitely looked really reallly old..at times one could actually make out the photoshipping done to smooth the creases on his face..cause it looked wrinkled and double chined at some places and at others, not..😕

It was not that bad..and it had a story..contrary to what is said here.

But dialogues were mediocre. Specially Salman's entry dialogues and the ones b4 aaj unse milna hai song..they were bad.

Neil and Armaan kohli were annoying..but they don't matter much in a Salman movie.

But prem disappointed big time.. Y was he shown to be a buffoon? rajshri's prem was a mature, understanding prem..not some OTT character..

This was Salman and he was right..he can never be that prem again.

One saving grace was sonam..she is delightful
