I read the full interview today. As a person living in India I can say what Aamir said is exaggeration at max.

I have issue with goverment trying to interfere in premium education institutions. Also its true that there's a growing feeling that NaMo is doing nothing as such. Taxes are getting higher in the name of Clean India. Petrol, Diesel are getting costlier. Yes, there are certain incidents. But majority people are not supporting that and will continue to do that. We do not like if someone is imposing any ban on anything as well.

But what Aamir said is completely ridiculous. The situation is not so bad.. it has never been so bad. I am having a feeling there's some hidden agenda of everyone each of these stars. They are using their position to manipulate people and to create an atmosphere of unrest. It should immediately stop. Lets leave peacefully and use ur position to pacify 'ALL' the people.

There's a difference in what SRK and Aamir. SRK never did call the country intolerant, he made comments about the growing issues. Aamir is blatanly saying the country is intolerant and his family is now fearing for their safety.

I'm sure Anupam must've heard both comments before reacting.

I watched. So he comes off very well till he gets to the part with the extreme exaggeration (to say the least) about scared to read newspapers and scared to go out, etc etc etc. But at first he was making quite a bit of sense. Till he went overboard and just lost it.

And his statement about terrorism is also ridiculous. You need to acknowledge geo-political as well as religious reasons in order to even combat the issue. Digging your head in the sand and treating all terrorists as just blanket terrorists with no bother to their motivation is just sheer lunacy.

INDIA is an intolerant country and THAT IS A FACT! No denying in that

BUT suggesting of leaving the country IS one of the better options because of that is bogus.

Having said that Aamir has through Satymev Jayteev and other platforms has time and again tried to rectify and improve situation and ongoing intolerance persistent in our country... So he needs to be given a benefit of doubt!

Beef is banned in our country due to so called relgious beliefs

And families, people and even kids were killed over past few weeks by some social groups/people because they DARED to eat beef

Our country is that much intolerant

Sadly our media prints only one side of the story

Appeasement leads to fanaticism
