" Maa, I have to speak to you. It is about Akash and Chotte and is very important." Arunima's worry reflected in her serious tone which made Nani get concerned for her.

" What happened Bitiya? Is everything alright?" Nani asked with concern and tenderness in her tone.

" No, Maa. Nothing is alright. Akash and Chotte got married and that too to daughters of the same family." Arunima spoke her mind out in one sentence without taking a breath as she was scared that she would not be able to complete her sentence if she stops to take a breath in between.

" What?? Are you joking in the wee hours of the morning, Arunima?" Arunima had expected this reaction, after all who would be able to take such a news in one go.

" No, Maa. This is the truth. Chotte got accidentally married to a girl called Khushi in prank and now he is deeply in love with her while she still needs to be convinced that it was not a prank as all the rituals of a marriage were completed and Akash got married to her elder sister in US secretively." Arunima looked down for she was unable to meet her mother's eye after revealing such a shocking news to her.

" What are you saying Jiji? Our Chotte and Akash got married?" Manoroma Singh Raizada, Arunima's brother's wife had made her entry and as usual she wanted to put salt on the wounds of the people.

Nani ignored her question while she tried to digest the fact that one of her grandson chose to get married without informing them while her other grandson got hooked in a prank, and had fallen deeply for his wife.

" Do you even know what kind of girls these both are, Arunima? What's wrong with your sons? One has forgotten to even take his family's blessings after the marriage while one has fallen in love with his accidental wife. Great!" Nani sarcastically exclaimed while Manorama felt happy seeing her sister-in-law getting bashed by her mother-in-law, after all she was always sidelined for Arunima's sake.

" Maa, I accept they both have done a huge mistake but I trust my sons' choice. I am sure that they wouldn't have made a bad choice. And coming to Chotte's wife, whom I have met and spoken to, she is as perfect as I always wanted Chotte's wife to be. Well-mannered, respectful, truthful and loyal to her traditional values even after being in a city as modern as Mumbai. Moreover she does what she feels is right without expecting anything in return and is extremely loving. If you want me to praise her beauty or brains, she is just like an angel descended from heaven just for our Chotte and I have heard from Chotte that she is the topper of her batch. What more do you need, Maa? I am sure that even if we searched for a bride for our Chotte, we would not be able to find a girl as perfect as her for Chotte." Arunima explained in a calm and composed tone like always. There was neither a sign of anxiety nor nervousness on her face as she knew that what she was doing was right and that gave her all the confidence of the world.

" And what about Akash's wife?" Nani's facial expressions made Arunima feel that she might be able to accept Chotte's marriage but she would always have a doubt about Akash's marriage in her mind.

" I don't know, Maa. But I am sure that if Akash had chosen a girl for himself, she would be perfect just like her sister." Arunima had tried calling to Akash but he didn't answer his call. Only if he had, Arunima would have been able to answer in a much better way. After all, she was an Industrial Psychologist, so she knew some basics of general psychology to judge people by the way they talk and behave.

" There is nothing much I can do here, Arunima. It is your sons' life and they have already decided on it. So what can I do? And also this house of ours respects the institution of marriage more than anything so even if the marriage was an accident or a secretive one we will respect it, nevertheless. Also, end of the day they are our children and parts of us. Punishing them means punishing ourselves, after all our happiness lies in them, so tell them all to come here, to Lucknow as soon as possible before we decide on something firmly." Nani sighed deeply while a weak smile played on Arunima's lips as she mentally thanked her Kanha for supporting her through this and making her mother have an open-mind unlike many people about this matter.

" But Maa Ji, how can we accept any random girl like this in our house? I mean we don't even know Akash Bitua's wife.." Manorama couldn't bear the thought that her sister-in-law's sons were forgiven so easily.

" You don't worry about that Manorama. I am still alive to worry about it." Nani was aware of Manorama's cunning behavior but she couldn't make it obvious, could she?

" I will go and inform Chotte about it." Arunima walked out of the living room to make a call to her Chotte and give him the happy news.

" Hello Mumma. What happened? You spoke to Nani?" Arnav hurriedly questioned his mother while a smile played on her lips noticing the fact that her son always bombarded her with questions whenever he called her since childhood.

" Nani Maan Gayi, Chotte. She has asked you and Khushi to come to Lucknow along with Akash and Payal. Though she doesn't seem to be very happy about this, I am sure that my daughters-in-law will make her accept them with just a single look of theirs." Arunima's relaxed tone had soothed Arnav's heart which was worried for the situations in Lucknow.

" Nani Tho Maan Gayi Ab Iss Khushi Ji Ko Koun Manayega? Will she even come to Lucknow? I doubt it, Mumma." Arnav said in a matter-of-fact tone while a slight chuckle escaped Arunima's lips.

" Now that is your work, Mr.Arnav Singh Raizada. Pyaar Aap Ko Hua Hai, Aap Hi Manayiye." Arunima teased him while Arnav felt slightly embarrassed that his mom was teasing him about his love for his wife.

" Kya Mumma, Aap Bhi Na! Now I should get on the job of making Khushi come to Lucknow and I am sure it will take a lot of time and effort. So Agya De Mate.." More than a mother and son, Arunima and Arnav were like best friends who had no secrets or formalities in between them.

" Vijayi Bhav Mere Sipahi. Vijay Hoke Mere Bahu ko Saath Le Ana."

With a chuckle from both the sides, Arnav disconnected the phone and started thinking about the ways using which he could make Khushi agree to it.
