Hi everyone!

I'm Back with another episode review.

With each episode, I like the show even more. Its biggest plus point are the 3 leads and the fast pace, this is what makes the show so entertaining. Not to say there aren't any flaws, because there are some issues but it does not stop me from enjoying the show.

Let me start off by saying Adaa Khan as Sesha is fantastic! She is such a treat to watch. I could not take my eyes off her. She looked so beautiful during the dance performance, and she does not need to do anything as her expressions are enough to kill her enemies. The last part, when she is running away from sapera was so good. However, it would not be this good if wasn't for adaa's performance. Her desperation to get away from the been, then anger at that sapera was portrayed beautifully by the actress.

Ritik and Shivanya are beautiful together. Yes they are the typical nok jhok couple but still, they are fun to watch. Mouni and arjun bring the couple to life, and arjun's expressions are to die for. I love how ritik stares at shivanya, with so much love and warmth-especially when he was covering her ears. My heart just melts for them, they are so adorable. Ritik is falling deeper and deeper without even realizing. He cannot focus on anything when she is in the room and left his own engagement party to be with her. Now he will know what all-consuming love is, nothing matters except for her. marriage out of friendship does not last forever and it will only make his life meaningless, I hope he realizes that. That being said, I'm glad Mr. Raheja is telling him to stay in line.

Poor shivanya got trapped in her own lie and Ritik's curiosity regarding Mr. patidev was hilarious. Did I see a tinge of hurt and jealousy when shivanya mentioned "love at first sight" perhaps because she loves someone else or because he never felt those things? Even the dialogues during that scene were funny...especially, "woh prani jisse aap shaadi karte hain"

why is Ritik so curious about shivanya's imaginary husband anyway? he even wanted to see his picture😆

Additional points

Editing and direction is a little better today but not much. Makers should seriously limit the snake scenes because the VFX is so cheap looking, or maybe they can use some real snakes, although I did like the chase scene between Sesha and the sapera. The loud background music did not bother me as much today, may because it was limited? also, I'm happy to say that sudha chandran's acting was much better today

It seems tanvi is living in her dream world

I think we will see more of that leech, who is creeping on Shivanya. Maybe he will corner her and she will be forced to reveal her true identity. Or ritik will save her and both will come closer.

Promos show that shivanya is a vengeful naagin, but still the backstory intrigues me. I think both she and sesha have bonded over their thirst for revenge; both have been wronged by the raheja's in some way. I originally thought shivanya is helping sesha but I think she has her own agenda, except she will truly fall for ritik, throwing a wrench in their plans. Speaking of, did shivanya have a husband once? She speaks about him and love at first sight with so much sincerity.

Both sesha and shivanya are inherently good naagins, who have been victimized by the raheja's. They are not wrong in their place and I hope writers don't make them out as villains. This is a good show, and I hope balaji does not ruin it.

Thanks for reading. Please like or comment

Yay another post!

Okay, so I kinda have to disagree about the dancing scene. To me, Ada looked off in her dancing. She seemed offbeat with the background dancers. Her expressions were definitely good, but her dancing wasn't that good. And you're completely right in that she was the only saving grace in that sapera scene. He was so weird LOL.

And completely agree on Hritik-Shivanya! You're completely bang on that Hritik is falling deeply for her! The two are so damn adorable! In general, I LOVING Hritik's character. He's so fun and easy-going! And his constant jokiness around Shivanya is enjoyable to watch!

Although, I was wondering if the whole Hritik covering Shivanya's ears to stop her from hearing the snake music and turning into a nagin was symbolic? He'll help her out as best he could? Maybe that makes her fall in love?

And with the whole Hritik grandfather picture reveal, it appears that the story deals with reincarnation? The other paintings of the men in the haweli were older men but Hritik's grand-fathers picture was of him being young. Myabe showing that Hritik grand-father died young? LOL that could be me overthinking as well tho 😆

And I have to also agree with you on the whole Shivanya and husband thing. I was also struck by the sincerity with which she talked about "love at first sight." But I don't feel she's had a prior partner? Maybe it was just an indicator of Sesha and her story? Sesha and her nag had "love at first sight" and as Sesha and Shivanya are friends, Shivanya's probably heard Sesha's story and been touched by it? That's why she believes in it so much? Probably reaching here too haha sorry 😆 I just don't want to have another guy come into Shivanya-Hritik story.

And Hritik's curiosity over Shivanya's husband confused me too LOL. Maybe it's his way of trying to make himself believe that he doens't really have any interest in her/ shouldn't be interested because she has a husband? Idk LOL

But yeah, I definitely also really enjoyed the talk Ankush had with Hritik over being careful with marriage and attractions. It was a good scene. And it also seemed to echo some of the past. Ankush said he had lost his respect and identity to reach his current position. While he claimed he was joking, I don't think he was.

On another note, I feel so bad for Tanvi. She's definitely noticied how Hritik is drawn toward Shivanya and even told him to back-off her during their engagement. She's believing that Hritik won't fall for another girl. But he's already fallen for one. I hope she doens't turn into a stereotypical vamp. Maybe she'll be instrumental in revealing the past to Hritik? Out of revenge for him leaving her? Idk. Sorry sorry, I just really like making up theories 😆

And yeap! Music and animation were better today, marginally better, but still. And you're right in that Sudha's acting was better! She was starting to get a little blah near the end/ middle but she was much better than before!

And the leech cousin is a weird character. A kleptomaniac but also a married womanizer?

What is even the family's role in this show? To add in some extra screen time to let the leads relax and not shoot? Why even have such stereotypical characters/ semi-decent actors? Ekta could've chosen a myriad of more experienced people. So far, only the brainy cousin, fun younger brother, and bhabi have appeared ok to me. The older drunk sister is a horrible actor imo. Looks very fake.

But anyways, yes! Agree with your assertion that the two nagins are no inherently evil! I think the show has been doing a good job so far having all the characters grey. Ankush seems like the main villain, but even he apparently has a heart for his son. So no one is completely evil it seems! I'm enjoying it!

And enjoyed reading this too! :)

the scene was not well choreographed and adaa admitted the dance sequences are hard for her. on that note, Mouni is a fantastic dancer. I hope to see a dance sequence with her under the moonlight, near the shiv mandir and maybe ritik can watch her?😳 that was the inner fangirl in me speaking.

rithik reminds me of a lovestruck high school boy, he does not know what to do with himself around the girl he is crushing on. seriously, his smile when shivanya held his hand to point at the portrait was adorable.

Although, I was wondering if the whole Hritik covering Shivanya's ears to stop her from hearing the snake music and turning into a nagin was symbolic? He'll help her out as best he could? Maybe that makes her fall in love?

Maybe. shivanya, please fall in love with him quickly so you don't harm him.He is such a sweetheart.

LOL that could be me overthinking as well tho 😆

whatever happened, happened 20 years ago. Rithik is 25 years old now, can the reincarnation theory fall into this timeline? maybe Rithik is the reincarnation of his cruel ancestor?

And I have to also agree with you on the whole Shivanya and husband thing. I was also struck by the sincerity with which she talked about "love at first sight." In folklore, Naagin/nag were great believers in the concept of true love and soulmates. Maybe shivanya believes in it as well, which is why she is so sincere about it. Mouni roy made an appearance on Ekta's other serial as shivanya for promotions. there, a group of men were trying to kill a snake and shivanya stopped them. she then spoke about how a naagin waits 100 years for her true love while tearing up. Maybe she was thinking about sesha or maybe she herself is waiting for her soulmate?

And Hritik's curiosity over Shivanya's husband confused me too LOL. Maybe it's his way of trying to make himself believe that he doens't really have any interest in her/ shouldn't be interested because she has a husband? Idk LOL

I wonder if he guessed she is lying, that is why he keeps asking

Tanvi is currently living in a bubble, which will burst soon enough. I hope she is not turned into a stereotypical vamp, I can relate more with a betrayed and heartbroken girl.

And yeap! Music and animation were better today, marginally better, but still. And you're right in that Sudha's acting was better! She was starting to get a little blah near the end/ middle but she was much better than before!

He is a predator and his dumb wife is too obsessed with food to notice. we will definitely see him harassing shivanya in the future episodes. Maybe rithik will save her or she will show him her naagin roop.

they are there to fill airtime. the drunk sister is not funny, she needs to check into rehab. ekta chose mostly newcomers because those characters are not important.

OMFG, now I totally want a scene with Shivanya dancing and Hritik watching!! That would be so beautiful!! I can already imagine it! I've seen Mouni dance before and she's so damn graceful!

And also, thanks for that background on Ada. I didn't know that and it makes sense now.

Yeah I have to agree with you on the lovestruck high school boy bit too LOL. I just think his actions around her are so adorable! He's already so relaxed around her (maybe that's just his personality?). His smile while she was guiding his hand was adorable! Frick, I haven't been so into a couple in years! I usually watch for the storyline and here it's different 😆

And shoot, I totally forgot the 20 yrs ago bit! That definitely does put a hamper on the reincarnation aspect. What could a nagin want with a 5 year old boy then? Unless Hritik is just the scapegoat for his parent's mistakes? But then in the promo, Sesha was looking at Hritik's grandfather's picture and swearing revenge. This is so confusing and intriguing!

And wow! I had no idea about nagin folklore! Maybe that is why Shivanya is so taken by the idea of "first love." Could that also be a catalyst as to why she maybe ends up giving up on her revenge? She realizes that Hritik is her soulmate? Do parents/ familial relationshps play a big role in nagin folklore? Do you know?
And also, I had initially thought that Hritik had guessed than Shivanya was lying about the husband, but idk. I felt like he didn't sound so skeptical of her story? He does trust her? You could have a point actually.

And hmmm about Shivanya being attacked. her showing her nagin roop to Hritik while under attack -- that's definitely interesting! I just, tbh, I don't really want to see the guy saving the girl. Like maybe once in a while, but the two female leads are fierce nagins. They don't need a human saving them LOL. I'd rather him just find out accidentally or her revealing it to him purposefully because of her faith in him?

Speaking of that, I was kinda surprised by Hritik's feelings for Sesha being tortured. While the rest of the family seemed terrified of the torture she was being put through, no one really saw anything wrong with it. Hritik was the only one who raised objection in the precap apparently. Maybe showing how he's different? The reason why he is destined to be the partner of a nagin? Idk

LOL I'm so glad someone else doens't like the drunk sister. I've been ranting about her for days to my mom. I hate her. I think her acting is bad and her character is badly written 😆

And you probably have a point about the actors not being central to the plot but still being shown. I just, idk. I feel like she could've chosen better people? I feel so disappointed with this show in so many things. Like the VFX, technical aspects, acting, etc. It's strange because Ekta is generally known for doing those things relatively well. She was the one who started the trend of bg music I think? And she's found so many other good actors.

The show storyline is SO interesting and the trio actors are so damn amazing. They deserve much better than the horrible producing they're currently getting. Just my two cents.

shivanya wants revenge yet she continues to lie about a husband, she wants rithik to think she is a forbidden fruit?

i don't know much about mythology and folklore, only some things here and there.

Rithik is the good one here, he does not believe in superstition and anyone would be horrified to know that their family mercilessly tortured a snake. better to capture and let it go, but killing it brutally?🤢

IMO that guy in the portrait is rithik's ancestor, but he is paying the price for his family's mistakes.

edit: retwatced the episoded, anyone noticed how angry shivanya got when ritik called her "husband" a pehelwan? either she was annoyed with his constant talking or husband really did exist in the past.

Episode 3- November 8 2015

Hi Zara...great analysis friend...
though i personally am not much of an analyzer of episodes, but here are some of the points i have been thinking over since the start of it all!
Regarding the fact that Shivanya is a vengeful Naagin herself sought to avenge the wrong done to her, from the promos it is clear that her target is Ritik, and Shesha also addressing to the portrait of Ritik's ancestor, makes me wonder did they (Shivanya and Shesha) set out to elicit the revenge 20 years back when Ritik was a mere child, however they have been unsuccessful in their revenge and hence the wait for 20 years until Ritik again himself came back/ called back to the haveli?

Shesha has constantly been referring to the fact that the story will go back from where it all started and start over again. the end of first episode when Ritik fell of the cliff she said so in her monologue and also in precap she said a similar thing...about "kahani dohrayi jayegi" .

Now this brings me to think...who is the villain here??? who is the culprit and who is wronged? Shivanya Shesha who have been wronged in some way in previous births or sometime in history...or Ankush Raheja and company, who did what they did 20 years ago to safe guard their child?
Ankush i somehow cant bring myself to believe is a bad man...his intentions towards Ritik is not bad. he is a friendly Father, who seeks the well being of his family. thus the first form of harm to Ritik he was ready and desperate to get back to Mumbai to safety and away from Harms way. he is keep the portrait of his ancestor hidden from Ritik so as not to bother him with trouble.
so exactly who is the main culprit here??? i hope the story answers that!

regarding the rest of the party, why do i have a feeling Amrita has some useful role in the story, or its just previous BT experiences which makes me believe that since all truths are told in the drunken state, here a Drunkard would be first to get hold of that information! Tanvi i am not sure about her character, as of now she is living in her bubble, but what is her character arc in the future episodes i cant exactly think of it.

now to my favorite part...though i dont know what the future holds for them , but right now i can just simply go mush mush over the RiVanya magic. the way Ritik looks at her, the way he is so enchanted by her mere presence, it just so captivating!!
the fangirl inside me just goes berserk in the want for more...more and so much more...that "ankahe kashish" and the quoting Tanvi "uske ankhon mein kuch nasha tha..." and i so so caught in that nasha!

And Adaa was just so breathtakingly beautiful in the dance sequence, and the song suited so perfectly!

That sounds too complicated, but there is heavy emphasis on reincarnation through kaal sarp dosh so maybe? I just don't know why the two girls would seek revenge against a 4 year old

Shesha has constantly been referring to the fact that the story will go back from where it all started and start over again. the end of first episode when Ritik fell of the cliff she said so in her monologue and also in precap she said a similar thing...about "kahani dohrayi jayegi" .

Ankush may have been a villain in the past, and now trying to make up for those mistakes but too late. his family will be paying the price for his misdeeds. Now, he is a nice guy.

regarding the rest of the party, why do i have a feeling Amrita has some useful role in the story, or its just previous BT experiences which makes me believe that since all truths are told in the drunken state, here a Drunkard would be first to get hold of that information! don't know about amrita, I feel she is only there for comic relief...except she is not funny. Tanvi may just be a side character, and hopefully not a vamp.

I fell for Rivanya too hard, too fast. I hope they get a happily ever after despite the complications and that ekta does not play her usual dirty tricks.

And Adaa was just so breathtakingly beautiful in the dance sequence, and the song suited so perfectly!

yes she is beautiful and a good actress.

Do you guys think the portrait in the locked room was Ankit Raheja's & not of Ritik's grand father?🤔 may be Ankit has had surgery to alter his face ? ( was he hinting it when he said *maine apni pehchan khoyi hai*?😕😕 Plus we all know how fond ekta is of "plastic surgery"😆😆)
