Flashy soap bahus inspire!!

New Delhi: If you follow television soaps regularly, you couldn't have missed the flashy jewellery worn by the TV queens. In fact, serials like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kasauti Zindagi Kay etc have inspired many women off screen.

Keeping this in mind PC jewellers held an exhibition "Shringar" at their Karol Bagh showroom. The six-day long exhibition between October 4 and October 9 saw many TV stars visiting the showroom like Shama Sikander of Yeh Meri Life Hai fame, Mauli Ganguly (Kahin Kisi Roz), Saakshi Tanwar aka Parvati of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Natasha of Kavyanjali and Simone Singh better known as Heena of Heena. However, the biggest attraction of them all was dream girl Hema Malini.

Says Balram Garg, MD, PC Jewellers, "The idea behind this exhibition was to attract people's attention." Garg confides that there is a huge demand for those designs and styles that are worn by TV stars. "The response has been much better than expected. Our business has gone up by 200 per cent," adds Garg.

Actress Deepti Bhatnagar who visited the exhibition admitted to her love for jewellery, adding that it accentuates the appeal of a woman. "I think jewellery is something which will continue to attract women for many years to come," she concluded.
