Is it important to be conventionally good looking to be a good entertainer? Do good looks of contestants add value to reality shows? Do viewers want to see the survival of the fittest or cutest? Why did punit say to mandy that between these loud n worn out people u r like a fairy or an angel? Ok he wanted to cheer her up. But why bring others down. Also why does bb give tasks like rating the men or women based on their physical appearance? Why is the viewer reminded which contestant has more visual appeal than some others. It's unfair as looks r not under our control. A not so good looking person can be real fun whereas a good looking person can be a total dud.

Sadly this is how it is on Indian tele.Looks are always prioritised over personality, ability or talent especially on reality shows. If it were a Big Brother abroad, then it's the personality, fun factor and the humbleness of a person that gets the audiences votes.Plus the channels project that too to the viewers. In India the majority be it on tele or reality cannot get past good looks and fair skin. For me I look for charm, wit, fun factor and humanity in a contestant, which sadly most of these contestants lack.

Agree with u. Channels play a huge role in making these chest thumping wannabes heroes. And as u mentioned HUMBLENESS. ..such a rare quality...Specially on Indian reality shows.

I havent seen the episode but this looks like a mean comment. The guy himself looks ordinary at max so there was no need to put others down

yesterday he uttered rubbish about media putting him down to the level of rishab

i mean u have worked for so many years and i havent see you so what movies are you talking about

i think he is counting those movies where his role was of truck driver taking smuggled goods from one place to another and getting caught and then telling the boss...sahab police ne chaapa mar daya...maaf kardo sahab. only to be taken down

so yeah...he should come back to earth..salman might comment on it..he doesnt like people putting other down

Looks are important in entertainment but only get you so far

People have to relate and like you and that's where talent and personality come in.

Otherwise you are wooden, cold, etc.

Also looks don't last and the turnover of faces in the industry is very fast.

Have to play your cards right

I disagree with this otherwise all the winners/finalists of BB would be the most good looking in the house.

Good looking people ..They have undue advantage all the time specially in a fair complexion obsessed country like India where they shamelessly advertise fairness creams like fair n lovely which apparently transform u into a cfl bulb..why fair n lovey ..why it cant be dusky n lovely or dark n lovely.. even if u are extremely talented or a fun loving person with a good heart..but lacks a pretty face then duh u are definitely going to be talked about..

How true. Some contestants form an immediate fan base on the basis of their looks...Whereas people with unconventional looks have to fight it out irrespective of their talent or wittiness etc.

exactly n even if they have horrible personality ..they still have a certain fan following ..i wont say im a saint and i dnt get attracted to good looking man like for ex hugh jackman but man if he had a horrible persona ..or if he abused or misbehaved with reporters ..that wud have been a instant turn off for me..when i like a celebrity ..i go on the internet and do my cidgiri ..😆 if they are nice enough im a fan..if they are not 🤢 Even in real life ..i liked this one guy too much that at point i was convinced i was in love..n he was just a average looking guy ..but it was the he used to carry himself..the way he used to talk ..was so sweet..thts wht made me like him ..Good looks do not last for long in real life ...im spilling way too much ..going off topic😆
