So, not only is this show a trendsetter when it comes to plot line and the characters of the lead pair, but also the way it can subtly highlight burning international issues. Yet again today we had a very crucial yet important issue, simultaneous to both India and Pakistan - DEFENSE BUDGETS.
Sana's dialogue:

"Tumhain pata hai hamare mulk main kitne ghareeb bache hain? jin k pass khane ko kuch nahi hai? kyun k hamare mulk to sara paisa hamari hifazat pe kharach karna parta hai, tak ye log kabhi bhi hum pe attack na kar den"

This is what both India and Pakistan's grave problem is - both of these countries have more than half of the population living under the poverty line, one of the lowest literacy rates in the world, one of the poorest health conditions and still their top priority is defense. Every fiscal year, millions and trillions of dollars are spent of purchasing latest missiles, spend on keeping the army alert on the borders and also sending our soldiers in the chilling peaks of Siachen where even animals don't survive. All this wastage of money on what? WAR? Neglecting your starving children and protecting the borders just because the governments cant come to a peaceful solution?

Hats off to this show for being a breath of fresh air in all the boring and family drama portrayed on TV, hats off for bringing up REAL issues.

Actually I was skeptical about this show but now I realise that Ekta Kapoor has actually been very brave in making this show...So far I had always associated her with saas-bahu sagas but my venturing into the political arena she has suddenly shown great maturity...
Kudos to her for this hatke show which we always crave for...

@Fantasia...
Wonderful post and I agree with you 100%...

This show is surprising me daily 😆
Initially I thought , it will be a mature love story like Bade acche lagte hai but as Hooda's were into defense so i was expecting some defence vs terrorist bits
than Ishaan was behaving weird so I thought he must be undercover agent but makers surprised me by showing him as Radical agent and I thought ab iske aagey surprise karne layak kuch nhi hai but i was wrong
they again surprised me by making Sana mouth that dialogue
How True is that!!!!
Govts are spending more n more money in buying latest arms, missiles and making new ones but the core issues are being sidelined
The money which should be spent on people of country for eradicating poverty, illiteracy, unemployment is being on spent on security
but they can't ignore security too that is also important and It had become prior importance since govts can take out middle road 😒 both the sides don't Trust each other enough to stop spending n security
Melaine is doing gud job as Sana, during mouthing those dialogues we can see how emotional she became ⭐️

This is what Iqbal has written somewhere that this show is not against any country or religion
He says at the end of the show the people and countries will come closer by bonding of love and care And that is why he has taken up this show. This is not an usual routine where one country is blaming other but looking at the problems in larger perceptive and looking at the common people sufferings some how I loved sana rizwan scenes today as this threw light on some real problems amongst countries because of lack of trust

I also read that India has lot of neighbouring counties and this can be of any country

defence too is important... since country is worried abt defence we all r safe n sound... even in all this security how many innocent peoples kids dying... in bombblast etc...

like protecting country civilians from terror... its government duty to iradicate poverty... health issues... gv sufficient need for job...

our indians hv anothr issue is WHITE COLLAR job... even me aftr taking a graduate love to do work... on the basis wht i learned n love...

True .. But I think its not a choice.. Its just one thing leads to another and it in turn triggers something new.. Security is very important.. Needless to say India's relationship with Pakistan Afghanistan China are not friendly so at any point of time if India appears weak it can lead to war .. Its not like a single person is responsible for all this .. Its more situational with one thing leading to another and creating a cycle of events.. It had created a web both countries cannot come out of and keep falling deeper and deeper into it .. Musharraf himself accepted that Pakistan's army trained activists in Kashmir long back during the time the freedom movement had started.. Somewhere it was I think their way of taking revenge for splitting Pakistan into Pakistan and Bangladesh which was maybe done by India for security purposes.. So it a vicious highly political cycle with a lot of personal gains as well .. Its not so easy to just put an end to these military and defense activities

It's true. Defense and peacekeeping takes a lot of resources which if put to social use can do wonders in lower and middle income countries but the conflict situation is so bad not just internationally but even internally that it has to be given the top priority. One can't call national security issue as a waste of money.

This show has turned out to be very different from what I expected and I can't help getting intrigued as time is passing. I heard it's a finite series so I am hoping this quality is maintained.
