I hate the 'sympathy vote' concept

I don't understand why ppl keep saying sudha chandran is going to get 'sympathy vote'

Ppl who say that you should be judged only on the basis of the dance alone.... well in that case shouldn't the playing field be level ? shouldn't the ppl then start with the same abilities and disabilities.... if the end result is going to be marked on an equal basis then should not the starting circumstances also be the same.....

Its easy to say 'you should be judged only on merit' when you have never had to live with a condition beyond your control....
when my feet even ache a little bit, i just flop down in my chair.... imagine dancing without one limb! ...... something as simple as sitting cross legged on the bed while watching TV which we all do without a second thought. imagine crying out in pain if you even make the mistake of folding your leg that way...

I detest the term 'sympathy vote'.... maybe they show a little bit more appreciation or she may get a little bit more votes... but i would like to think of it as votes for the sheer will power and determination she displays. i for one find her truely inspirational!

Exactly...I m sure even Sudhaji will not prefer this sympatthy vote thing ...today she got the highest marks...even though her performance was very good 👏 but I don't think she deserved such high points as compared to Sandhya and Tapur who were better than her but looks like even the judges r giving sympathy marks now 😕

I think everyone should get graded on the same scale no matter what. Sudha-ji knew her weakness and she overcame this so the judges should too!!

it's a competition ...everyone is working hard ..so pls vote according to the performance u like...

actually i admire sudhaji a lot for her will power and determination. but i dont really understand why she participated in this competition. no offence, but she was already acclaimed dancer and after she lost her limb, with her unimaginable determination, she managed to again gain her dancing fame. with such kind of spirit even the movie such as "nache mayuri" was made which was truly her story and she herself had acted in it. so i dont understand when she has already proved to the world that she is very good dancer and any broken limb can never stop her. why did she participate here?

what sympathy, she is a brilliant dancer and her expertise is very evident. i agree with you dear, she doesnt need anyones sympathy, but an eye for good dancing and she will sustain till the end.

I dunno about sympathy votes but she is definitely getting sympathy marks from Shiamak... there were others who were better like Tapur in the last performance and Prachi this time around. They both deserved a 30/30.. But Sudha ji is a lovely dancer

Sudha Chandran is very brave & an inspiration 4 many. In fact she said she doesn't wants sympathy votes. But ya d judges told her that she was not that good like her previous performances but gave her equal score 2 Sandhya who they said did well. D judges praise d contestants but give opp score & vice versa 😕
