Honestly this show is getting ridiculous.
At the beginning I loved the meaning of the show, a young innocent girl with a slight problem causing her to face many difficulties in life. However with her strong faith and determination she succeeded in proving proving society wrong and managed to demonstrate that although her speech is not full intact, her morals and intelligence is up to high standards.

The show interested me as it portrayed Thapki, a young girl who managed to start a new life after her marriage broke at a new and professional environment. At the office she was humiliated and mocked many times but due to her good nature she managed to always sustain herself and pushed herself further in life, with having the ability to forgive anyone who did wrong to her.

Despite her having a problem she managed to get the boss of the company to fall head over heels for her, now I see a lot of viewers claiming this is cliche and too typical for Indian dramas. Or the fact that the love story is so common and the character of Dhruv is so boring. But can I remind you viewers that Dhruv as a character has many layers, such as the fact that the only women in his life is his mother and he follows everyone of his orders, or the fact that he is the only one who manages to give an equal and unconditional love to his adopted brother Bihaan. Also Dhruvs character from the beginning was dark and mysterious and it was Thapki who opened him up and showed him more colours in the world and the kind of life that lives outside of work.

Now I am not hating any of the Thahaan lovers but i see many of the arguments for the support of Thapki and Bihaan is that Bihaan's character is mysterious and deprived of love therefore Thapki should enter his life fill the void with love. However Vasundara does show him some care and doesnt completely hate him unlike the way Balwinder (Dhruvs Father) hates Dhruv. Dhruv was always the outcast of the house due to his different perspective from his father. At the beginning of the show he never participated in any of the poojas and was always involved in disputes with his father. Therefore you can see Dhruv too is deprived of love. Also Balwinder is the head of the house so whatever he wanted was sent through, which meant that Dhruv had no chance of actually being accepted. Whereas Bihaan was loved by everyone, just was deprived from being EQUALLY loved by Vasundara. Although Vasu loved Dhruv more, she did care for Bihaan and didnt exactly show hatred towards him like Balwinder did to Dhuv.

Another argument from the Thahaan lovers is that Dhruv and Thapkis love story is too easy and common, but how many indian shows have the same story line as the Bihaan and Thapki track. The same love story where the couple is married due to a reason and cannot stand eachother therefore have continuous nok jhok which leads to cliche moments and then finally they fall in love. Now I have been watching Indian dramas for an extremely long time now and I could tell you most of them follow the same story line such as Yeh hai mohabatein, Is pyaar a ko kyaa nam doon and kitni mohabbat hai. Therefore I dont understand where the new and interesting story line lies. However I rarely get to see a show where the female actually gets what she wants, and if she does she has to go through many other struggle- and im not surprised as Indian dramas need dramatic plots and stories. So when i saw that Thapki and Dhruv fell in love I found the show so cute as it showed that even if you have some insecurties, there is someone out there who will love you for you. Rememeber Dhruv fell in love with her in a short span of time, proving that he completely forgot about her speech difficulties and just loved her for her. Also Dhruv fell in love wit her without anyone interfering, whereas Bihaan and Thapkis love story has had many other interference from the bhabis and the mum who tried to put them two closer. So you tell me who is actually destined to be together?

However my biggest problem with the show is the lies and deception the directors show to the viewers. The first incident was when Thapki and Dhruv wished upon a shooting star and to the God about being together for the rest of their lives. How unfair is this? The director are just breaking people faiths by showing that wishing upon a star doesnt actually work. Also my main annoyance is the fact that if Bihaan and Thapki end up together, Vasundara wins. She manages to protect her son from Thapki. This shows the viewers that people with minor problems wont be able to get what they want and would have to settle for second choice and the games of others. Is this honestly the message we want to convey to todays society? If you have a problem, you would have to suffer through betrayals and lies and decpetion. You would have to marry someone unknowingly and just accept it in order to honour the family who decieved you's name? It absolutely disgusting. Also the directors and writers need to honestly make it clear who is going to be together, either Bihaan or Thapki or Dhruv and Thapki- instead of giving the different fanbases false hopes. Personally i was really interested in this show as it gave the message that no matter what insecurity or problem you have, you are as equal and as beautiful as everyone else but no, the directors had to ruin it and turn it into the same shabby love story we've seen for the millionth time.

Well, if you have observed that scene carefully, you'll notice the strange wording Dhruv used, "Kabhi asmaan se koi taara na tuute or kabhi humara saat na chuute." (something along these lines) - and in that very moment, when they closed their eyes, another star fell/taara tuuta, indicating that Thapki and Dhruv will be separated. I don't see any deception here but actually a solid indication for the future track. Hasn't anyone else noticed that? 😒 Besides, do many people honestly believe that wishing upon a star actually works? And if they do, I doubt their belief will be broken that easily.

I didn't quote the rest of your post and neither will I address all those points as they are your opinion and you are, of course, entitled to your opinion which I respect.

About the being deprived of love and the comparison between Vasundhra and Balwinder: We have seen Vasundhra emotionally abusing and blackmailing Bihaan whereas there hasn't been a similiar scene for Balwinder in regards to Dhruv hence, why the sympathies lie with Bihaan, here. And I'd say that Vasundhra's fake, sweet attitude towards Bihaan is more poisoneous than Balwinder's open dislike (which, I think, is not the right word, here) for Dhruv, especially since it's obvious that Vasundhra is anything but sincere and still, Bihaan clings to these fake affections like a thirsty man to water - I am pretty sure that Bihaan knows Vasundhra is insincere in her 'love' to him but still, he wants to hold on to anything thrown his way, emphasising how much he craves for a mother. And I don't think that this cold relationship between Dhruv and Balwinder has always existed, it probably emerged much later when Dhruv got into his career and started questioning the family business- there seems to be a lot of hurt and disappointment from both sides, here. It's not only Balwinder being cold to Dhruv, Dhruv, too, isn't that fond of his father, so, it goes both ways and can't really be compared to the Vasundhra-Bihaan dynamics (and I think a mother's love is a little different than a father's, at times, at least).

As for myself, well, I love Bihaan's character. Yes, more than Thapki, which happens a lot- people being more attached to other characters than the actual main lead. There are many reasons why I adore him, foremost of all which is him being flawed. He has layers, he is a three-dimensional character, someone standing by his ideals and ready to accept mistakes, witty and strong and yet, displays a childish innocence/weakness; he is just written wonderfully, till yet. Manish's excellent acting adds to the charme of Bihaan and breathes life into that fictional character. In my honest opinion, he is one of the best male leads on TV, at the moment.

ThaHaan - I'd like to mention here that I am not a couple-kind of fan. More than ThaHaan as a couple, I love Bihaan and like Thapki as personalities. They have captivating chemistry together, it's sweet and endearing to watch it develope further. Oviously, being a ThaRuv fan, you will find faults in that pairing the same way a ThaHaan fan will find faults in the other pairing, that's normal. I just want to say that even if it's similiar to other shows (which I don't believe it is that much) the execution and characterization is what matters. How they pull it off. Even a plot you have seen nth times can be made interesting and exciting by the correct execution. I first was enamourd by Bihaan who made me watch the show regularly, then I saw a lot of potential for Thapki-Bihaan, more than with Dhruv (my opinion, only) and I liked their interactions and the subtle hints thrown left and right about these two which, all, made me ship them.

I also don't think that Thapki ending up with Bihaan would prove Vasu right. In what way would it? Vasundhra was against Thapki because she isn't perfect hence, Vasundhra wanted to 'save' Dhruv. But is Dhruv being saved? He's spiralling down a destructive path (or has been) and when Vasundhra realizes to what an extent she has damaged Dhruv by separating him from Thapki, she will realize that she lost. Vasundhra's victory or loss is not connected to Thapki and her being happily married or not (she couldn't care any less) but it is connected to her son. If Dhruv is unhappy, whether Thapki and Bihaan are happy or not with each other, Vasundhra will have lost, that's it. And in my eyes, she hasn't just wronged Thapki and Dhruv but also Bihaan, whom she cares nothing about [she hadn't even flinched when she decided to destroy his life] - so, Bihaan and Thapki, both of not much worth for Vasundhra, turning out to be honestly happy and contend with each other despite their baggages whereas Dhruv will suffer - that will be a slap to Vasundhra's face. It's not fair to Dhruv, I agree, but life does not come without hardships.

In the end, we don't always get what we want, be it Dhruv, Thapki or Bihaan - or the viewers. And I don't mean ThaRuv fans, specifically. I mean, in the future, CVs might decide to change the couple (doubtful, though) and we ThaHaan fans will be in the same boat as you guys are, now. Who knows?

I am just against fights over fiction- not that you are fighting, lol. But such differences in opinion can easily lead to ugly fan-wars and ruin the atmosphere of the forum - which, I hope, it doesn't get to this. So, this is a honest request to anyone who is going to reply to this post; please, stay polite and respectful to each other 😊

Love,
N.

Amina,

I rewatched that episode... Even I had not paid attention to it... What u said is so true.. Dhruv said, everyone makes wishes when there is a toote hue taara, where as we shall make this wish and he says Na koi tere assmaan se koi taara toote aur na kabhi hamara saata chuute... and there comes a shooting star! At that point it was of course meant to indicate that the relationship was not meant to be bcoz there came a toote hue taara and he wished that there wont be any toote hue taara... The CVs will never make such mistakes... And after that it has been all +ve signs for Thahaan, the khoon bhari maang, the KC... Khoon Bhari maang is highly significant and I am sure this will not be changed by the CVs at any time! Its ThaHaan all the way now...

Good u brought this point to every ones attention!

Hang on pls... Just don't say what ever comes to ur mind... there is logic with which v r saying bihaan was always planned as the lead. the tharuv relation was meant to break where as thahaan relation is here to stay. this is what the CVS have been indicating in their story.
I think u didn't read Aminas post. pls do. it might clarify certain things for u.
n regarding acting even I like shakthi Arora.. Hez done a fab job as Ranveer in matsh but Manish as Bihaan is perfect. He's doing a fabulous job! Hez got under the skin of his character.

i understand your pov.. just tell me answer of one question..? first when there was ThaRuv track, why Dhruv was not seen in the montage??
About Dhruv, Why he is silent?? don't tell me, he loves Thapki, that's why he silent.. He never stood for Thapki , if so, he would have told the truth about marriage night.. nope.. he is busy crying.. Shakti- MATSH was the story of Ranveer and Ishani from day one, no chance for others.. Both promoted the show together from day 1.. Same goes to Mishal too- Ishq ka rang Safed is story of viplav-dhani .. Here comes sanskar aka varun.. He is a very interesting multi layered character.. started as a villian, now loved by audiance.. Laksh aka namish- started as a happy going man, now butchered to obsssive lover who want to win back brother's wife..They r doing perfect job as male leads.. don't try to include Ankit forcefully in this catogery, because they are class apart.. I was never a fan of Thapki-Dhruv, even i started watching this show during marriage week..And i love Thapki-Bihaan.. Till when they are together, i will watch the show..
