Sonam has always been a huge Salman fan, having met him when she was a teenager. |
I feel privileged to be a part of the film. I have been a huge fan of Salman Khan for a long time. I was a bit nervous, it was intimidating for me to be on the sets but I was excited as well. After a few days I got comfortable as Sooraj sir gave me lot of love. I cherish it. I had an amazing experience,' Sonam had said at the trailer launch of the film few weeks back. Sonam had also recalled her first meeting with Salman, who she said was generous enough to sit and talk to her. 'I was 14 when my dad (Anil Kapoor) and Salman were working together in a film. I was never allowed on a film set but for this movie I requested my dad to take me there. Salman sat with me for an hour and I think I would have traumatised him,' she said.
Known to wear his heart on his sleeve and often found making youngsters comfortable, Salman was all praise for his co-star and even went on to speak in her favour of her fashion icon image. "Sonam is a very talented actress. I understand that she is known as a fashionista, a fashion icon and people always talk about her clothes but that should not take away from her talent. She is a brilliant actor and a beautiful girl. So what if she wears great clothes? Everyone should," signed off Salman.
And so what if Salman had used the dupatta of his gracious companion, Sonam's designer outfit to wipe beads of sweat from his forehead at the trailer launch. Remember?
