He was already protective of Fab 5 and now he is becoming a harmless character...who lost the monstrous actions. When Manik was upset with Nandini over the trust issue...he did try to act as if he was becoming the monster again...but he couldn't completely act like one. Manik changed...he changed from being a ruthless character into someone who couldn't harass anyone like he used to. When he pressed his fingers onto the shoulders of Nandini (in the episode where Nandini gets to know of Kabir being gay) he was the same old Manik...but then...when he noticed the marks on her hand...he was apologetic. This is the new Manik..who didn't want to hurt Nandini atleast physically.

MaNan evolved...but Nandini always knew that Manik will protect her...but at the same time Manik was like a baby...a baby who starts crying when the mother gives her to the hands of a stranger. It's not that the baby doesn't love or trust his mother...but its just that the baby needs time to completely trust his mom. He fears that he will get lost...he fears that the stranger may take him away from his mom. Manik was still in a phase where eventhough he loved Nandini to the core of his heart...but within...he had an insecure side. He wanted Nandini to reassure him always that she has eyes only for him and she needs only him and nobody else.

Manik didn't want to bring anybody else into his own space or the space of Fab 5. He opened up to Nandini...because he couldn't stay away from her and because he started trusting her as a girl who cannot harm anyone...as a girl who will stand for the right thing...to him she was a shining star who will remove the darkness in his life.

Manik was never shown as a guy who is fully sure of himself...as a guy who never had any insecurity. Manik was from the start a guy who wanted to trust those whom he loved and at the same time a guy who had his own little insecurities.

Aryaman getting closer to Nandini will affect him...not coz he doubts that Aryaman is her new love interest or coz he distrusts her. It is coz Nandini is too naive. She has trusted the wrong persons many times. Wrong persons as in Harshad, Aryaman, Pandit all of whom turned to have negative sides. Now Aryaman getting closer to Nandini won't be acceptable to him for sure.

Yes surely Nandini can have her own friends...it is not wrong. But Manik always wanted the best friend position reserved for himself. Dhruv was a good friend (but not touchy feely kind) and a silent lover of Nandini. Manik realized it on the night when he confessed to Nandini. Maybe at that point also Nandini being so close to Dhruv..made him sacrifice his love. But after that Manik had decided that he won't let go of Nandini again.

Now Aryaman even if he is a good friend...will create differences between Manik and Nandini...not because Manik is insecure...but because he will walk around behind Nandini even after Manik returns and I anticipated it...from the way Aryaman was getting all free around Nandini! Let us see what happens next!😆

Manik is hurt, disappointed, insecure after a distance of 4 months(we're yet to see what condition he was in n why) when he did not get the reaction from Nandini that he expected on her seeing him.

Did Manik say that Nandini has moved on with another guy? 4 months is too small to move on in anyway after all that they had been through together n apart.

Aryaman is creepy.. as creepy as Pandit! Ppl said Pandit hadn't crossed his line so it was ok. Same thing is happening with Arya now? What kind of a "friend" he is to Nandini who has feelings more than a friend for her? How can anybody be ok with that? Be it Manik or Nandini or the audience?

Manik has been a hypocrite in the past too! He's no saint. He learnt a few lessons with time n evolved as a better human being. But there comes a time when we unlearn and re-learn. I believe this is that phase for Manik. Considering the tragedy that happened 4 months back.

Apart from that I agree.
I don't like the promo much. Actually the part where he jerks her off(at least that is what it looked like from the promo) I don't like that bit.
