How often are they used for today's Bollywood leads?
I know, Sridevi used to have one in her prime. That was the time, where not all leads spoke Hindi. I am not sure, whether Katrina used it. Now that most of the leads can speak Hindi, I think they (dubbing artists) are not taken seriously.
But there are times when I feel, the lead actor's or actress's voice should have been dubbed. For example, female lead in Piku needed a Bengali accent. Deepika (may be a fantastic actress) could not deliver that. Sometimes, I have problem with Kangana's accent too.
Peshwa Bajirao's character would have been more powerful, if there is a depth in the voice. But Ranveer does not possess that. Why can't film makers make use of dubbing artists for the same?
