Randhir-Babita back together!

Karisma and Kareena Kapoor's parents will start staying together, after a 20-year long separation

Randhir Kapoor sure had some foresight when he sang 'Hum jab honge saath saal ke aur tum hogi pachpan ki, bolo preet nibhayogi na tum bachpan ki' (When I am 60 and you are 55, hope you will still love me like you did in your youth) to wife Babita in Kal Aaj Aur Kal (1971). Well, Babita is indeed complying! After more than two decades of separation, she has decided to return to the Kapoor household.

A reliable source says, "Babita has decided to move back to the Kapoor household. She and Randhir have sorted out their differences and will soon start staying together."

The couple separated in the mid-'80s. At that time, Randhir was staying with his parents (Prithviraj Kapoor and Krishna) at Napean Sea Road. Randhir, being a protective father, wanted to keep both his daughters Karisma and Kareena away from acting.

He would have preferred that instead of venturing into Bollywood, they get married and settle down as per family tradition.

This led to irreconcilable differences between them and Babita stormed out of the R K bungalow taking both her daughters with her. They stayed at an apartment at Lokhandwala.

"Randhir and Babita never had ugly fights. They were always very civilized people. So, they never lost touch even after they started staying separately. Anyway, all's well that ends well," the source adds.

When contacted at RK Studios (Chembur), Randhir was reluctant to talk on this. "I am in my office and not at home," he said.Quickly, he went on to explain that he and Babita had always been amicable with each other. "We have never fought. We have always remained friends," Randhir added.

When we asked him to give us a confirmation on Babita's decision to return and stay with him, he said, "It hasn't happened as yet, but yes, it might."

In her brief acting career, which spanned eight years (1966-1974) and 19 films, Babita starred in a string of hits before a whirlwind marriage to Randhir put an end to her career.

hey prithviraj kapoor was his grand dad.it should be raj kapoor and krishna. 😆
