Agree. Should have avoided using stats.

And yeah this thread has outlived its utility. Or maybe it never was used for what it was meant to be used for 😆
So men are entitled to be "scared" of all women because some may have strong feminist views but women should not be scared of all men in spite of all the man-on-woman crime? Do you even logic?
It's reminds me of some big survey they did amongst online daters and what their biggest fear is.
Men's biggest fear is that a FAT girl will show up on their date.

Women's biggest fear is that it will be a MURDERER.

Women legitimately have a lot more to fear from men but poor men like Golu's male friends. If only there were more supercool women-hating women like Golu to go around for them.

Hmmm.

I might be women hating but you have definitely become Golu hating right? 😆

Now please instead of beating around the bush, can you conclude your speech?

It is getting tiring to hear about my male friends again and again 😆

This feminazi is another propaganda. Just talk about equality and that should be it. Special privileges shouldn't be given to any group and acting like a victim doesn't help either.

adventurousman, I doubt anyone will argue that crimes by women should not be reported. Both genders should report crimes. Regarding 'not taken seriously' you are assuming that based on the media. The media has picked up the rape issue and continues to report extremely sickening cases, which unfortunately are true.

I am with you on no one should receive any special privileges and no one should act like a victim. India is a big country. There are a lot of states and a lot of people so the country can't be generalized. Every case is different. But there are places that are not safe for anyone.

In this century I find it extremely disturbing when a two and half year old is raped. When babies are not safe and they are raped, then it becomes an issue and unfortunately there is NO change.
I don't want to make it about gender but statistically speaking there are more female babies that are taken away and raped than male babies.

You have a valid point asking for crimes committed by women to be taken seriously but when even babies are raped daily and it is reported, yet there is NO change, as it is not taken seriously enough to take proper measures. Then do you honestly believe crimes committed by women will be taken seriously??

I am all for both genders, but at least babies (both genders) should be safe in any country from rape, kidnapping, and assault.

I don't know if you have visited India or not, but I would urge you to visit India to understand the plight of men and women. No victims. Simple observation.

U r rite, action needs to be taken but the media is now brainwashing general public just like they did with 9/11 and how every muslim became a terrorist, they put it in their heads 'when u see a muslim then he must be a terrorist' same goes for this 'u see a man, he must be a sexual predator'

about babies being raped, that is happening in the west too. U might not know this but there are families who actually rape their own kids or want to f**k them and even try to raise them that way. There was a case in Austria where a father kept his daughter somewhere isolated for many years and had a few kids with her, no one knew about it and then one day he was exposed.

West is filled with pedophiles so the issue is not only in India but all over the world.

two wrongs don't make a right. Now media is highlighting all these cases, what will this do? It'll only make women more afraid and then there are others who take advantage of this, this is where I've problem with all of this. These women take advantage of a scenario like this and misuse this power, now she can go ahead and do anything and she won't be questioned because u know u have to support the woman even if she is wrong, as I've pointed earlier, there aren't even laws for men in India. A woman is not gonna be prosecuted if she rapes a man nor will be the man taken seriously.

This sexism needs to go. See a person as a person rather then their sex then we might be able to solve this otherwise we're going in circles. Men and women are biologically different, now I see women acting like men, all tough, it doesn't suit them. There is no need to be aggressive. Go work or stay at home. Have sex with 100 men or with one, no one is really stopping you now.

And in other places where these things are happening, that's where we need to show our support but those women don't really get the support instead women who have already been given all the power, take advantage of this and use it against men because it favors them, that's why.

Its not about penis jokes. U see a woman can confidently go and ask men about their dick size because she knows there will be no consequences. Men are not gonna make a big fuss about it and if someone does, then no one will take him seriously anyway. The same can't be said about women. A man can't go up to girls and ask about 'how deep their vaginas are or what their boob size is'

a common man can't do that. There are consequences he has to face while in the case of a woman, there are no consequences. A woman will scream rape and all the people will gather and beat up the guy, that's the reality and this is where the problem lies.

As for some comedian doing it, I doubt that and if someone does then its the people in power like sallu, he can do it and no one will question it because he has the power. I'm talking about commoners.

But let's not digress. There are so many posts here defending the TM and bashing people for being oversensitive (ironic but I will let that pass), but I haven't seen anyone actually defend the premise of the topic. The TM says "finally a movie that favours men" and then goes on to praise a buddy comedy film that centers around guys complaining about their girlfriends. Which is basically the basis of every David Dhawan comedy ever. Indian men complaining of being oppressed by their wives is the oldest source of comedy. Even the "progressive" buddy flicks like Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi... derive humour from awful gf storylines (Saif's in DCH and Abhay's in ZNMD). I can't think of any comedy that hasn't talked about it. On the other hand, can you name a single female buddy comedy where girls bond over how awful their bfs and husbands are and where that is presented as a source of humour? Because I can't think of any. Yet you say "FINALLY A MOVIE ABOUT MEN", and that seems to suggest that there are hundreds of such movies about women that I seem to have missed. Could you recommend some to me?

It simply means that the movie is favoring men and for once showing their side and taking their side. It doesn't mean that its a first buddy comedy movie. Those david dhavan movies like 'biwi no 1' where they show how good the wife is and how bad the husband is? When did they show him as a good person?

Female buddy comedy? where is the market for that? Would that even work? Those will be made when there is a market for it, no one wants to see that, not even women, so why would they be made? some women centric movies work but they're mostly drama, not comedy and we don't have comedy actresses anyway, very few if any.

Movies have been favoring women since the 50's. She is 'abla nar' its not her fault that she had sex with the guy, apparently 'usne mujhe apne pyaar ke jhaal mein pasaya' not any fault of the abla nari.

Yesterday I watched 'jeevan dhara' where they show how a woman 'rekha' takes care of the whole house and sacrifices her life while her brother 'raj babbar' is a drunk and her father couldn't take care of the family so he ran away.

So that's what the TM meant when she said, it favors men.

There are so many movies that take the side of a woman that its not even funny and one can be easily brainwashed by it.

I'm not in the favor of the sadak chaap romeogiri either because now guys will go out and do that shit which is not rite nor does it work. I mean eve teasing. U see it in so many movies. a hero eve teases a girl, stalks her and she falls in love with him while in the same movie, the villain does the same and he gets beaten for it 😆
