I'm a fan of bollYwood so I know who Alia is- but I live in Canada and I will tell you that a lot of Indians abroad do not keep up with Bollywood actors (here at least) at all so they don't know who she is. if one lives in India they are constantly exposed to Bollywood- since movies are very much part of the culture there. But here people don't know who she is- she doesn't have a universal appeal tbh. Desi girls here like Kim kardashian lol. The only access people here know of is priyanka chopra because there are posters of her here.

So I would say her fan base is limited. And because alot of them include teens and kids- they may outgrow her after a period of time. But this is just my perception from social media I'm not sure if she appeals the elder crowd. But the more important thing for her to be successful is that she maintains a fanbase in india which I feel she does. And that's totally fine.
