"It wasn't because of any actor. It required me to shoot in a cruise for 90 days. At that point of time I didn't want to be away from home for so long. Ranveer is a terrific actor and I hope to work with him soon. But the script that he came to me with didn't work for me."

Kareena Kapoor is very proud of being part of the last Salman Khan blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

And for those scoffing at the brevity of her part she scoffs back, "All the actresses are dying to work with Salman. Even the ones he doesn't want to work with. Unke ghar ka chakkar lagati rehti hain. Salman has told me how they message him."

Could Kareena be talking about Priyanka Chopra?

"I am not talking about anyone in particular. But I love massy films. It's easy for people to say , why did Kareena do Singham or Gol Maal? Arrey, but that's my journey! I am first and foremost a commercial mainstream star.That's where I come from. Lekin kabhi kabhi ghar se nikalna bhi toh chahiye.

Speaking of Priyanka,Kareena turned down Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadkane Do. Apparently because she wasn't keen on working with Ranveer Singh.

She isn't overly impressed by the recent spate of woman-oriented films. "I did them in the past like Chameli and Jab We Met. Queen was outstanding. After Jab we Met it was a time spectacular for a woman actor. I haven't seen Piku. But I believe it's outstanding. Deepika is supremely talented.And she has come such a long way."

I remember right after her debut in Refugee Kareena had told me she can't do glamorous roles like Karisma.

Kareena is nonchalant. "Maybe I wasn't sure of myself then. And I was too much in awe of my sister. Today I see myself in all roles.That's my journey.My destiny is to be known for being in some of the biggest blockbusters. No one can take them away from me."

Everybody craves for different things but few years down the line people remember actors for their relevant roles, it can be in a massy movie but still relevant and not a flowerpot plus it earns more respect , Kareena has done brilliant roles but they are are far and few in between, hope her recent lineup changes that👍🏼

DDD was a lousy mess

They should have offered Saifu Farhan's role. She would have done it. They anyways like taking lots of holidays.

She rejected DDD bcoz of d script?

She refused it because Ranbir refused it. I don't think she even read the script and that's probably an excuse for not doing it. Anyways it was a lousy movie so she's saved

Wow...She sounds bitter ...She's talented but not very bright apparently...DDD though an under-performer was a decent movie...I don't think it's a good idea to disparage your colleagues by highlighting what a big star Salman is...Why is so eager to shine in the reflected glory of her superstar male counterparts? Sad...Coz she had (maybe has ) what it takes...!!!

Lol, this is the same actress who doesn't read scripts and who accepted duds like heroine and gori tere pyaar mein.

Kareena : Script? Areh, padne ka mann nahi tha. Isliye school chodke bollywood aayi. Saale, yahi bhi script padne ke liye bolte hei. i am not dumb to listen to them. I will choose the actor who would have read the script and go by their instinct. I left DDD because Ranbir left, I left Shuddhi because Hritik left. I presume they have read the script and found it's not good. I can't read myself to find out.

Ddd is strong script compared to many other movies being produced nowadays, I think kareena wud hav gained by doing such a role as ayesha as she hasn't done a role like that before
