And then there was a deafening silence as both of them processed the words he had just put out there in the open.. he looked up in frustration and moved his hand in his hair.. and then banged his hand on the steel table as hard as he could.. the pain getting to him and he started shaking his hand as he heard a weak 'Nachiket' from the bed..

He could not look at her.. not in this state.. the strong one, Ragini.. she must be in so much pain.. and this pain was going to stay for at least a couple of days...
