Aditya Roy K & Shraddha K to Romance in Maniratnam's OKK

The hit Aashiqui 2' pair, Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor are reportedly set to reunite for a remake of a Mani Ratnam film.
According to PinkVilla, the film, which will be helmed by Shaad Ali is based on Ratnam's Tamil romantic drama OK Kanmani'. It is worth mentioning that Ali is a former associate of Ratnam. The publication reports that the songs composed by AR Rahman for OK Kanmani' will be retained for Hindi version, too.
Earlier, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt were favourites to bag the film but due to their hectic schedule, the film has now been offered to Aditya and Shraddha. It remains to be seen if they will accept.

Didnt Shaad Ali direct Saathiya, the Vivek-Rani superhit of 2002? It had some of the most beautiful songs by ARR.

Shaad earlier directed Saathiya which was also the remake of Mani Ratnam's Alaipayuthey.. I haven't seen OKK but heard good things about it..
