Part 4
Divya's house...
After Maan left from there Divya went to her room and started crying. Her mother came to her,. She hugged her and cried her heart out. Her mom was gently running her finger through her hair in order to silence her cries. They have been sitting on the bed for more than one hour the pain inside her faded down after ten long dreary minutes and she slowly composed her self. By then her father also joined them not able to see the sadness in her daughter..
Mr. Vaithyananthan:
Divya' why din't you go with Maan putar beta...we always wanted your happiness only and nothing else matters for us. Not even our lives dear..
Divya's heart ached seeing their love for her. She has heard the sacrifices they made just to be with her.,
Few days back..
Her tauji came from U S to visit his brother...
They informed him about the engagement proceedings.
Since Tauji also liked Divya very much he accepted for the engagement and was very happy for his daughter. The next day family started inviting their relation that's when hell broke as everyone refused to attend the engagement as Divya was adopted against their wishes.
Mr. Vaithyanathan and Mrs. Saridha Vaithyanathan hailed from a well to do family. They had everything they wanted but only sadness filled them as Mrs. Vaithyanathan couldn't conceive due to some problems. And it bothered her very much and also affected her health more. Mr. Vaithyanathan who was very lovable person when suggested by Mrs. Saridha for a second marriage refused right away and said to her that she is his baby and he is hers. Though she was touched with his love she was very upset. Mr. Vaithyanathan who saw this suggested to Saridha that for a adoption. Mrs. Saridha became very happy with the suggestion and MR. Vaithyanathan got to work of adopting a baby.
Money can do anything to people's mind was proved true in Mr and Mrs. Vaithyanathan case. Few relatives knowing that they are going to adopt a baby legally where ready to give their own baby to them as the baby will be made heir of Mr. Vaithyanathan.
But Mr. Vaithyanathan refused and adopted baby Divya who was just 6 weeks old and her parents died in an accident. Mr. Vaithyanathan relatives created rucksacks after knowing these they also threatened him that they'll kill Divya. Mr. Vaithyanathan begged them to leave his family alone and not to disturb them..and he'll do anything for that and so the deal was made that Mr. Vaithyanathan must give all his properties to his relatives and he can live peacefully. Mr. Vaithyanathan did so and moved to Bangalore for few years. His brother and Divya's Tauji helped him to settle in b'lore. He was hell angry with his so called relatives but Mr. Vaithyanathan stopped him from doing anything. Few months passed. Mr. Vaithyanathan and Mr. Venketesh (Divya's tauji) who was working in a small firm started a small time business in plastic molding. Their first tender from a big car manufacturing company was to be submitted by them today and they prayed in front of god for their success... Baby Divya who was playing in living room came to the pooja room where they have kept the file of tender..and started playing with it Kissing it and putting it in her mouth. When they all saw it they smiled at her with amuse and surprise...At the tender opening place Mr. Vaithyanathan & Venketesh won the tender and they considered God's blessing and Divya as their lucky charm as whenever they used to submit a tender's there will be big competition from other top notch companies but this time even with top companies they won clear cut.
Their business went well and they became popular in B'lore small scale industries and all were happy with the progression,
With all done and forgotten relatives started to stick back to them as they are now again big people.., and Mr. Vaithyanathan wanted to invite them for their daughters biggest day..but again they started threatening them and Divya's tauji was hell angry on them as they are becoming dictators in their life. They threatened them with the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Vaithyanathan... while talking with one of the relatives who was talking abt all the old stories of Divya being adopted and this is when she heard all about her life. She was over whelmed with their love. And this is when Divya's tauji suggested her to imdtly call Maan and inform him about everything and get married to him as soon as possible as their relatives are threatening them to get her married in relations only. But Divya who was already in an emotional roller coaster after the revelation din't want to endanger their lives anymore... so she decided something and went and spoke to Maan regarding it.
Maan who came to Chennai couldn't sit back he pulled all his contacts to se what help he can do for Divya but all went in vain as Divya and her family has shifted and left Mumbai without informing any one where they went.
Maan alerted a couple of his body guards and a few detectives to search for them fearing their safety. For him she dnt want to marry r get engaged to him coz her tauji saw some other guy for her. Still she was a friend of him and doesn't want her to be hurt in any way.
It was more than a month Maan came to Chennai after Divya breaking their engagement media was told that the engagement was cancelled due to some personal problems and tho it created a buzz in Delhi that Maan Singh Khurana's engagement was called off and his fianc is missing Maan made sure that everything solved and Divya's name was not dragged in unnecessarily.
Present Day...
Maan who woke up after the dream took a walk through the narrow muddy lanes in the village brought a lot of memories into him. He remembered how he walked with his cousins along the lanes during his vacations, how they had splashed the dirty water in the muddy potholes at each other etc... which brought a smile on his face.
Maan could see the village temple at a distance.
He sat under the banyan tree in the temple premises ad looked at the few people walking to and fro from the temple. The Goddess of the temple is said to possess high powers and lots of people from near and far visited the temple each year.
Maan had forgotten the last time he had prayed in the temple with his family.
Maan "Bava"... someone called from behind. He saw a girl around mid twenties standing in front of him with a sweet smile adorning her lips... he looked a little confused as to who she was.
She looked beautiful draped in a silk sari..
Why are you looking at me like tat she questioned...I'm Geet Geetanjali your Nandhini athai's (father's sister) daughter she explained him still seeing the confused expression on his face...
His eyes widened in amuse. Geet dnt resemble the Geetanjali he once knew the Geetanjali he knew was such a nerd and shy type girl and here she looks like a bombshell...totally different and bold..
