I just watched Singh is Bling and it's a great entertainer. Of course, it doesn't have the best story but it's good enough.
In fact, it's much better than an average masala entertainer.Akshay, Amy & Lara all are in full form.
However, it seems the film will not be able to perform as expected at the box office.
But what I wonder is that earlier Akshay did crap films with FORCED HUMOR Hey Babby, De Dana Dan, Welcome, Housefull, Namaste London, Singh Is King, Rowdy Rathore(this was the best of this lot) and all of them worked at the box office. While watching these films, I literally wondered what is in the film that is making people laugh.
And when he is giving good entertainers like Holiday, Gabbar and even Singh is Bling, he is failing to make a mark at the box office.
I really think Holiday, Gabbar and Singh is Bling are much better than most his earlier entertainers.
And the only reason I see why thse films are not performing as expected is that he is doing thousand films a year. People don't flock to theaters to see his films because they are like are rehne de agli dekh lenge. Akshay ki doosri film aane hi wali hai.
TBH, it seems that if he had only these three releases(Holiday, Gabbar and even Singh is Bling)
they would have earned 150+ crore each.
