Mona's b'day gift is an SUV!
The actor is not upset over boyfriend 'missing' from her next music video
Actor Mona Singh, who created television history as Jassi and currently co-hosting 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja-2' (JDJ) is impatiently waiting to get a jhalak of her birthday (October 8) gift. "I am awaiting the delivery of my SUV (sport utility vehicle) car. I've always wanted a spacious and sturdy car. My dream will finally come true," smiles Mona, who shares her birthday with her mother.
"It's a unique blessing for me that the woman who brought me into this world, was also born on the same day. You could call it janam janam ka saath," insists Mona who is not disheartened that her beau Karan Oberoi has not cast her in his next pop video called 'Bajj Gayee'. "Honestly, I would have been the odd girl out, as it's an all-guy album," she explains.
She adds, "But ever since I featured in Lata (Mangeshkar) didi's video, I have been inspired to sing. My dream is to get Lata didi release my pop album some day."
Is it true that being the previous 'Jhalak' winner, she is considered the 'lucky mascot' of the current season? "It may sound crazy. But the 'JDJ' contestants 'touch' me before they perform. They want me to rub my luck on to them. Jokes apart, when I see some of them getting nervous, I recall the time when I used to get jittery as a 'JDJ' contestant too. I had butterflies in my stomach the day I began anchoring this show too. It was Karan who revved me up saying, 'Mona it's your show, give it your best shot'," discloses Mona who co-hosts the show with Rohit Roy.
