Buzz is, it left the PK star teary-eyed
and Sallu, maddeningly furious
Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have
long maintained that they are very
good friends. But you know how fickle
friendships in Bollywood are!
Aamir-Salman's dosti started
developing cracks when the two
realised that their respective films,
Dangal and Sultan, share more than a
few similarities (Salman-Aamir war
heats up, August 15).
Now, we hear, the war has taken a
nasty turn.
The showdown happened last month,
just before Dangal went on floors and
Salman started prepping up
for Sultan.
The story goes, Aamir was hosting a
party at his Bandra residence, where
Salman and a few other
industrywallas were invited. It was
just another party and just another
Sallu-Aamir banter until the PK star
decided to sit down and dissect
Salman's career.
While he was all praises for his
performance in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and
spoke about the sensitivity in which
the film was presented, he allegedly
steered the conversation to the 'bad
decisions' Sallu had made in the
past.
Said a source, "Aamir told Salman
that had he shown this kind of
maturity at an early stage in his
career, he would've had a lot of proud
titles to look back upon." This
obviously did not go down well with
Salman.
If Mr. Perfectionist had left the
conversation at that, the situation
might not have spun out of control.
But that was not to be.
The source continued, "Aamir even
told Salman that it has been very
easy for him. He doesn't have to
worry about story or screenplay as
the audience laps up his films and he
doesn't even work as hard as the
other actors."
Now, the Kick star would obviously
not take this lying down.
We hear, Salman shot back with the
choicest of expletives. What's worse,
he hit back at Aamir by saying that
he might not be as hardworking as
the Dangal star, but at least gives
credit to the directors and writers of
his films. Ouch!
Before Aamir could clarify, a furious
Salman stormed out.
The source added, "Even from the
exit, he yelled and called Aamir, a
fake. Things went out of hand so
quickly; everyone present was in a
state of shock."
And what about Aamir? He was left
teary-eyed.
Do you think it was condescending of
Aamir to deliver a sermon at a time
when Salman seems to be in a
genuinely happy state? Was Sallu's
reaction justified?
Most importantly, after months of
simmering tension between Salman
and Aamir, is this the final nail in the
coffin for the duo?http://www.9xe.com/bollywood-news/what's-happening/6732/salman-aamirs-ugly-showdown
