Over the weekend I met a young guy (late 20s, early 30s) who had quite a story and had me thinking. lets call him adam.
A few years back he entered into a relationship with a girl (eve) who had a child from a previous relationship. They dated for some years and the girl became pregnant. So they never got married ..😕
she encountered some problems with her pregnancy which basically led to either her surviving or the baby. adam was not aware of the situation that eve was in since she did not tell him and neither did the doctor.
so without consulting adam, eve decided to have the baby and thereby giving up her life and leaving the newborn along with her son from the previous relationship (who was 4) with adam. decided? May be she forgot to take her pill or it didn't work..😕
i don't know the exact details as to her medical condition.
now the question that i've been debating in my mind is that was eve right in making this decision. keep in mind several questions:
1. her responsibility as a mother to her first child. F for being selfish
2. her responsibility as a partner to adam. See answer above.
3. was this fair to adam? Takes two to tango.😉
let me also add that adam has proved to be a WONDERFUL father to both of these boys. he treats the older boy (now 8)no different than his own (now 4).
Good for him and the kids..😊
my question(is there a new feature in IF, becoz the moment i started typing it has a different font and colour? 😕 😕 😕 )
Exactly Ranauq but does not happen in quoting only when you do post reply..it is strange
kick myself, you made me respond here again, no further responses, I promise😳.....inlined in blue below

kudos to adam and her trust in adam, but what about her responsibility? We don't know the facts QT, what if's ??? she intended was to give happiness out of enoromorous love, by bearing his child in her womb. Or counting on the fact the miracle will happen ...
do u seriously mean to say adam picked his unborn child with her over her life? i got to wonder about that.
Not knowingly... remember he never knew about it. Have you seen that song, guy sells bike for girls hair and she sells her hair to buy something for the guy's bike. Can you blame the girl or the boy?
UNFAIR is the situation, hence no one is judging anyone, but i still think it is unfair for any person to get so carried away emotionally wrt unborn babies and leave those that clearly dearly need them. JMO.Based on pure hypothetical situation I might say yes that makes sense, but knowing this being framed on a true happening, I would personally not prefer myself to say fair/unfair without knowing all the facts and situations😊
