The episode begins with Karthik and Sruvi getting off a truck in front of Karthik's house. He tells that they better go in as everyone will be worried. Survi is shocked seeing that Karthik owns a huge bungalow. She asks how Kartihk got this rich this soon and he said that four years is a long time for things to change. He tells her that they should go in as everyone will be worried especially Lata,Shanti and Tayi. When Survi hears Tayi's name she stops at the gate, scared. Karthik asks her what happened and Survi asks him if Tayi stays with him and if he asked Tayi about her staying with them. Karthik tells her that he didn't ask Tayi but everyone will be happy to see her. Survi says that she won't come in until he asks permission. Karthik agrees with her.
At that time Raghu comes and Karthik tells him to stay with Survi while he goes and talks to Tayi. On the way to Tayi's room Karthik prays to Ganesha. Lata is very happy to see Karthik. She starts talking nervously about the plane crash and Karthik consoles her. Shanti comes in and asks about Survi and Karthik tells her to go meet Survi who is outside. Karthik asks where Tayi is. Tayi's three children come to the living room with their luggage. They say that they are leaving the house. Karthik asks what happened. They tell him to go ask Tayi as it's her decision.
Scene shifts to outside the house where Shanti starts reciting the three times table and Survi and Shanti start getting emotional and hug. Shanti says she's upset with Survi as she hasn't heard from Survi in four years. Survi tries ti explain saying that her father told her not to ask anything about their life in Mumbai or contact anyone. Shanti gets convinced and asks Survi to come in but she doesn't budge.
Scene shifts to Tayi drinking in her room while Karthik comes in. He asks why the room is dark and she says it reflects her luck. She tells him not to switch on the lights as she doesn't want anyone to see her cry. Karthik asks her what happened. She says that she had a misunderstanding. Her kids told her that it's his house when she considered the house hers. she thanks Karthik for all the help she got from him with her and her children. She then asks why Karthik brought the daughter of the man who is the reason Bhau got killed. Karthik tries to explain that it wasn't Srikant's fault. He then tells him that Srikant is framed for a crime he didn't do and Survi is all alone and he didn't feel right to leave Survi alone. Karthik tells Tayi that he promised Srikant to take care of Survi as long as Srikant is in jail.
Karthik admits that everything happened so fast that he didn't remember about Bhau. Tayi asks if he'll forget her too. She then reminds him about his promise to her and tells him that to fulfill one the other promise should be broken. She tells him that she's leaving the house as Karthik can't arrange for Survi to leave anywhere else in Mumbai.
Tayi goes down and tells her kids that by leaving the house they'll have to break ties with Lata, Shanti and Karthik. Lata tells her not to go and defends Karthik by saying that Karthik respects her and Srikant equally. Tayi tells that Lata is right but in the end he is fulfilling Srikant's promise. She tells that she has no grudge against Karthik and that she brought him up like her son and doesn't want to see him upset. She tells that Karthik can stay in the house with Survi and that they'll leave. Tayi's daughter reminds her that they have no place to go as they sold their old house in the chawl.
Tayi tells her daughter that she's still alive and that she'll take care of everything. She tells also Karthik not to worry about them. Karthik remembers his promise to Tayi. Tayi tells him not to worry about them and to forget she was ever in his life. She tells that she is devastated and can't live under the same roof as Survi. She talks to God in her mind telling that she thought she's getting lucky and in the end the opposite happened. She tells Gad to save her from this situation. Tayi then tells Lata to take care of Karthik and is about to leave expecting Karthik to stop her. Karthik stops Tayi before she steps out and she's really happy and relieved.
