Sanskaar follows the policy..that do what needs to be done.
he follows the dictum of swami Vivekananda 'you cannot teach a bull the Bible.

when he comes up against shit..he gives it back.

but when its time to love..he loves back.

loving our enemies will only land us up dead after all.

But yes, when its a matter of love and life..there are some things which you cannot mess with.
you cannot force people to love you. if they fall in love with you..its ok...if they don't well...you cannot do a lot about it. Sanskaar knows this and respects this boundary. he is wise enough to know it.⭐️

but ragini does not. thats the difference between these two.😕

VK...hats off man!! you brought sanskaar to life. and i swera your chemistry with rags is just brilliant. its like a bro-sis nok jhok ka relationship...only a 100 fold more dangerous.😲

Absolutely agree that Sanskaar character is so well played by Varun. And the depth amd variations is so good. Sanskaar is pure human, who knows he has done wrong to swara and hence is helping her to rectify his wrongdoings.
Secondly he is not at all ashamed of telling Swara that he loves her but will not force his love on her. As he said today he is not the one who believes in forcing marriage just because he loves. One sided love marriage can never be successful.

Ragini' s character is a well written one but the actor Tejasvi is not upto it. She is at times good and at times cold. She needs to improve.

I am absolutely, totally in love with Sanskar. In fact it is Sanskar for whom I have started watching the show regularly. Yes even I am surprised that a RS show can create such fabulous male characters!! I always thought the male leads of RS shows were not more that poster boys. But this show changed it.
I have seen Ragini type villains in shows, but Sanskar is one unique character. Without him I wouldn't have even watched the show. And Varun Kapooor plays it so well.

Hi Tanu!
😆
Oh I agree about Sanskar and Varun. Yeah, I wouldn't have thought RS could create this guy. He is such a proper human male lead after so long. We can at least enjoy watching his characterization at least for a few months more. Shows get ruined after in any case.
VK does play it very well. Just the right balance of good-guy with a sprinkling of ambiguous morality. His pretty face helps in keeping it believable IMO.
I don't even like pretty boys like him and he is way too white and pink for my liking but I genuinely like him regardless lol.
Ragini, yeah, is not a unique character per se but the girl has given it a distinctly unoque twist. Reminds me of how everyone disliked Ashka as Kalavati in Laagi Tujhse Lagan and everyone unanimously says how fabulous she was now.

Great post. I agree with a lot of your comments. Sanskaar is truly a superlative character. I think the credit probably goes to Gautam Hegde, who I think (may be mistaken but am quite sure I am right) is the writer- he was instrumental in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon too where they flirted with a borderline lead character and had a truly evil villain too, rather than Rashmi Sharma (but please don't shoot if I'm wrong on this). VK is truly outstanding as Sanskaar. I used to like him before this but only in a sort of generalised way- after this show, he makes my list of characters I will always remember with applause.

I am not in full agreement on Ragini. I don't have anything against Tejaswi but I feel at some point, Ragini become a bit too much for me. I think when it started off, it was a great concept of a weak but essentially "goody goody" girl whose constant suppression of her feelings led to a monster being unleashed when given the right stimulus (i.e. Sanskaar in the old days). I then just got fed up of the inconsistency in seeing her on screen- sometimes i find the expressions too lacking, the voice modulation for me is very bad and I think there is now too much emphasis on just seeing tears. The molestation drama scenes were appalling. Today- I felt she did the job but generally I have got to the point with Ragini the character itself that she's such a delusional victim playing psycho, that it gets tiresome. Shame for me as I have always found negative characters quite fascinating but let's see what happens when Ragini's truth is out.

Oh say it isn't so. I can happily see Sanskar becoming a standard RS hero but not another shadow of Arnav. I hated IPK and Arnav with a passion so I can only hope Sanskar's characterization remains as good as it is now because you never know. I would like to see him as a negative lead too because just picture the acting range he'd get but I like Sanskar as he is now.
I feel like a lot of hatred for Ragini comes from how sociopathic her character is. Acting is subjective anyway. What is good for me may not be the same for you so no arguments there. I do think Ragini is a very interesting character and pretty much the plotmaker of the show and Sanskar and her chemistry is insane. That balcony scene when he gives her the sidelong glance to gloat and she looks at him, shocked. Brilliantly done. Their scenes, while less in number, are major in magnitude.

I didn't like the ASR that the show eventually ended up with for various reasons (and a lot of ASR IMO was a guy who was simply a jerk) but what I was trying to say is the concept was to show a hero who wasn't white washed and would walk a tightrope on moral/ ethical issues. That's what I think the intention was but most shows IMO spoil it after a point so yes, like you, I sincerely hope this doesn't happen here. I was just saying I think I see a Gautam Hegde touch in the creation and development of Sanskaar. There are some writers such as Utkarsh Naithani and GH where you come to recognise their work from time to time- just don't see this as a Rashmi Sharma brainchild, judging by the "heroes" in her other shows:)
Agree re the balcony scene and I even made a separate post about Sanskaar where I said the highlight today was the Sanskaar- Ragini interactions:). I am open minded about seeing what happens with Ragini in the future, too many negative characters get overdone in our shows and lose the impact- purely in my subjective opinion at the moment I find that line blurring with Ragini but maybe it will revert (for me) to being interesting again. Like I said- I always find more interest in negative characters than positive ones as the former tend to have more layers.

Yes, Sanskar has boundaries and can also be morally ambiguous if need be, which makes him such an interesting hero. Ragini is a sociopath, Sanskar is perfectly normal. They are hardly similar. But they do have this very intriguing enmity going on which should be explored better.
Eh. Their relationship is strangely aggressive and almost sensual in an abstract way if people bothered to look beyond basic pairing drama between characters. I am yet to see any sibling vibe between them but it is subjective finally. Two people can create chemistry that does not need to be romantic or friendly or brotherly. There are various shades to chemistry.

The first day I watched the show was when Sanskar reveals he was not crazy. He prevent someone from getting the wrong drip. It was a good scene, and a compelling character.

I think Ragini is an extreme version of a mean person in real life. She manipulates people and situations and because her infractions are so minor, people never really catch on. Those who do catch on want to stay away from her. The characters are well drawn.

My only problem is with the story line is I wish Swara would recognize that her ma is being abused by her dadi and her dad does not care. The marriage is not good for her mom.

Yea
Sanskar is the closest to a real life character you can find
Sacrifices when he has to and fights when he has to
Totally love him
Especially varun's potrayal is amazinggg
